This is an all time favorite of mine! Super clean restaurant (which is sometimes difficult for BBQ joints to maintain). Food is... always so fresh! Pulled pork was all meat and no fat, the sides are super tasty! Love the beans and the corn on the cob. SalmonFriday is a must! Would love to try the Salmon Tacos on Saturday. Will patron this restaurant for all my BBQ needs! Read more

Really enjoyed our meal today during Porchfest! I had the pork bbq platter, and the pork was delicious and not dry at all. I... especially liked the creamed corn....nice heat to it. Wife had the birria tacos, and she enjoyed them. She likes your whitebbq sauce. And as slammed as you no doubt were all day, the service was friendly and timely. Read more

The worst meal I?ve had in a long time. The brisket sandwich left a lot to be desired. Thick bread with cubed brisket. The... macaroni and cheese was bland and dry. As far as the barbecue sauces, there were three on each table. I tried them all and foundeach to be as tasteless as the one before. I prefer to not leave reviews but have found myself leaving this one to preventdisappoint from another unsuspecting customer fooled by this establishments 4.5 rating. I left the restaurant eating a bag ofVickie?s Sea Salt chips which accompanied my sandwich. I can only imagine these were placed on my plate to rinse my palate fromthe lackluster meal I was served. 0/10 do not recommend. This place is a disappointment in an otherwise beautiful area ofDecatur budding with other great eateries. Read more

My wife and I went for lunch today for the first time. Upon arriving the waitress informed us that there had been some problem... with the smoker and it would be 20 minutes before any of the pork would be available. We looked over the menu and decided wewould wait. She promptly asked if we would like an order of chips and cheese dip, on the house. We shared a brisket sandwich andan order of Brunswick stew. It was all delicious and the service was excellent. We will definitely be back. Read more

I have been here several times since opening. Ford?s is decent, and has gotten its operations up to speed. But generally... speaking, their food is way, way, way too salty. The brisket, pork, queso and fries scream salt. The Mac and cheese is very goodand creamy, but a bit oily. A little less indulgence on the seasoning would turn it from good to amazing. The smoke flavor andmeat quality come though strong and bold on the outset, but unfortunately after several bites the burn from the salt sets in. Read more

Had a leisurely dinner with my daughter two nights ago. Service was on point... Got what we needed and were checked on but not... excessively. Food was fantastic. Daughter had a pulled pork sandwich open air style with fries. Was expecting vinegar slaw butgot something sweet (maybe the agave slaw) but didn't mind. I got the pulled pork platter with fries and cucumber salad. Meatwas tender and juicy with lots of flavor. We didn't even use sauce. No fat or gristle at all. Fries were crispy and wellseasoned and cucumber salad was awesome. Pickled cucumbers and onions are a nice touch as well. Will definitely be back with thewhole family! We have tried every bbq restaurant in the Decatur area and this is our new favorite! Read more

Our first time here. We wanted so much to like this restaurant. A new addition to Oakhurst. We waited 10+ minutes to be... acknowledged. The bartender came over, gave us menus and thanked us for coming and said our server would be with us shortly.Another 8+ minutes later the server appeared. He was very nice. It looked like he was the only server on duty. The beer was niceand cold. We ordered the brisket street tacos and the 2 meat platter with lean brisket and sausage. The brisket on the platterwas unfortunately room temperature, quite dry and flavorless unless dipped in the house BBQ sauce, which is very good. Thesausage was jalapeño and cheese and was excellent. The tortillas for the street tacos appeared to be stale, as all but onebroke in half as my wife picked them up. The fried okra and the Mac & cheese sides were outstanding. Unfortunately our servernever checked back in with us. But seeing a table that sat uncleared the whole time we were there, plus the fact the serverseemed to be the only one and was really running trying to keep up, they must have been short handed. These are certainly toughtimes for restaurants and we definitely feel bad for them, but our overall experience this evening discourages us from wantingto come back. Other reviews are 4 and 5 stars so in all fairness we should probably give them another try on a different nightand different food orders. Read more

Update - Bump up from 4 to 5: We've been back two more times and everything has been great! The service has been good, the food... is delicious, drinks are on point, and the music has not caught my attention ;) We ate here during the very busy Porch Fest andthey handled the crowd very well. The food was delicious! We will definitely be coming back. One complaint is the music- I knowit's Texas BBQ, but I really hated the terrible country music they were playing. Read more
