We got Chando?s Tacos to cater our office lunch yesterday, and wow did they deliver! The street style tacos came pre-packed with... meat so it was a pick and go situation that allowed folks to get the tacos prepped quickly and move through the line. Plentifultoppings, 3 sauce options (which all were delicious), the meats were seasoned well and had a little spice to it which wasperfect, each taco had at least 2 tortillas so there was no soaked rip through situations. Just a food truck at this location, and I haven't seen them here in quite a while. But their food is quite good.
I had one okay experience at the food truck with an adobada torta, but then two awful experiences. First, with (overpriced)... tacos and extremely dry meat. And then, a second time, with a torta that was not properly made -- not the meat I ordered andmissing other ingredients, despite my asking for everything. Just on the other side of the railroad tracks -- about 10 minuteswalk -- there is a more authentic Mexican taqueria with significantly better tacos and tortas, free chips and salsa, and cheaperprices. I grew up eating the original chandos. To have chandos here is very exciting. If you?re not aware, there are issues with the... consistency of the food. It?s very different than back home. I hope y?all can figure out how to cook the food soon, we hadanother really good taco spot shut down because of consistency issues. I need you Chando, I hope it gets better. Read more
