Looking for authentic, good tasting Jamaican cuisine ? Then look no more. I had the jerk chicken and my wife and daughter had... the Rasta pasta. The taste and flavor was out of this world and you can tell that they know what they are doing. There are avariety of tasty choices on the menu daily. There's also room for dining or takeaway. This was my first time to Caribbean eatz and I ordered porridge, fried dumplings for my kids and then curry chicken with rice... and beans and when I say the food was so flavorful and cooked to perfection. My kids were so sad that I only grabbed oneporridge because of how delicious it was. The fried dumplings were crispy on the outside and soft in the middle. While having the day off I decided to try out some local restaurants near me and I was craving Caribbean food. I ordered the... Jerk Pork, Rice n Peas, and Cabbage. So let's talk about da food.... Jerk Pork... had some jerk flavor with a touch of heat butwasn't that full bodied jerk flavor bombs I've had while touring in Jamaica. The pork could've also been more tender. I give ita 2 out of 5. Cabbage... it was barely any in my container. So I couldn't say if I liked it or not. I give it a 1 out of5. Rice & Peas... was probably the strangest thing I've ever ate. I'm always on the lookout for good Jamaican food, so I was excited when I saw Caribbean Eatz was close to my house. Could this... be my new local go-to Jamaican spot?! Ummm, no way. Unfortunately, it fell way short in my opinion. Whenever I find up a newJamaican spot, I have to order my favorite dish to see how they compare to the rest. It's all about the Jerk chicken, rice andpeas, cabbage, and sweet plantains. I usually like to throw in a spicy beef patty too. When I got home and tasted my meal, Iwas really disappointed. Nothing tasted authentic. The jerk chicken wasn't spicy or flavorful. It also had a funny plastic smellto it. The cabbage was bland and the rice and beans were the strangest I've had. The food is absolutely amazing. Delicious, made fresh and served hot. The included sides are plentiful and succulent, the rice... and beans in particular are SO good. My little ones both shared the pepper steak and both of them enjoyed it fresh and wantedtheir leftovers the next day and devoured them. The curry goat is very flavorful, it does have a good amount of bones in it,which I personally enjoy, but might not be the best choice for a younger child on their own.
