A MUST TO GET THERE AT 9:00 am when it opens. Forty-five minutes later it?s a 2 1/2 hr wait!! You need to have a Park Sticker... or purchase a daily to get to the restaurant. Grill your own pancakes. Can?t complain if you don?t like them!! Inside of aSugar Mill - rustic and quaint. If you like the batter it is available for purchase - both white and grain. State Park withswimming and other activities while you wait. Beautiful park with old Spanish Moss trees everywhere. Read more

This place was so much fun. Definitely a great idea for the family! You get to cook pancakes right at your table. It's like... breakfast hibachi. Our server was extremely kind and thoroughly explained the pancake making process and types of batteravailable. Even better, it's all you can eat (6.50 per person) with toppings and sides available. My recommendation - get thereearly. I mean early early. We arrived at the park at 8:10 am, right after the park opened, and by 8:45 am there was a line atthe Sugar Mill. By 9:15 am all of the tables were filled and there was a wait. The turn around time is slow, so expect to waitabout 45 minutes to an hour for a table since guests are enjoying their experience! We went to The Old Spanish Sugar Mill Grill Restaurant. It is located inside Deleon State Park for breakfast. It cost us $6 for... our car to enter. You find a parking place and walk down to the restaurant near the water. The restaurant is very rustic and Iloved that atmosphere. I took a picture of the menu and their prices. You can order just pancakes or add on extras. We gotblueberries for the pancakes. They bring you a pitcher of pancake batter and you make your own pancakes right at your table. They have a choice of regular or buckwheat batter. The buckwheat was wonderful! I had never had that before. It tasted a bitnutty and had a wonderful flavor. Highly recommend trying it. They also offer different syrup options from black strap molassesto maple syrup. It was super fun making pancakes right at our table! We will definitely go back to this awesome restaurant! Read more

Unique place. Great staff. Tasty cakes. My family enjoyed our visit to this park and restaurant. I?m told there is typically a... significant wait but we were fortunate to walk right in and sit right down. As others have noted, most (including us) opt forthe make your own pancakes. I suggest ordering multiple toppings for the table so everyone can try something different (if youaren?t afraid to share). Read more

This is such an experience! We had about a 40 minute wait but there was plenty to walk around and see while doing so. I... recommend dressing a little cool at it does get warm inside. The pancakes come in 2 varieties, I highly recommend trying thebuckwheat even if you have doubts because they are light and amazing. The traditional is just as wonderful! They keep syrup, rawhoney and molasses on the tables and you can order side items to go in the pancakes. (Banana, blueberry, pecans etc.) You canorder eggs, which you also cook, meats, etc to go with your meal. Read more
