Sueno is so chic inside and the food and service are spot on. Menu changes seasonally. Most foods are cooked over a wood burning... stove and it?s fun to sit at Chef?s Table and watch your dinner being made. Corn chips, tortillas, and sopes are all house made.Drinks are unique. It?s fun to order food tapas style and share. Highly recommend for a fun and delicious dining experience! Wedrank Le Stubito and shared Salsa Trio, Charred Mushroom Tacos, Sopes, Grilled Veggie Tostada, Lamb Birra, and Shishito Peppers.Plenty for two with leftovers! Read more

For Valentine's Day, we ventured to Sueño. Our server described this as a "Mexican cuisine with a contemporary twist." All... meals are designed for sharing, so we got one of each category... For "Botanitas y Mas," we ordered Sikil P'ak, which was trulyone of the tastiest and most unique dips we've ever had! For "Con Masa," we ordered the Octopus Tostada, and we LOVED it."Verduras" was especially interesting with Shishito Peppers (like jalapeños but not as spicy?so good). "Los Fuertas" did notdissapoint as our main entrée with the Costillas (smoked pork ribs)! And for dessert, we had the Pepita Tarlet, which wasinfused with Mezcal and delicious! We absolutely loved this restraunt! It is elegant on the inside, and the kitchen is an openconcept within the main dining area where you are actually able to sit next to like a bar. Undoubtedly a great spot for specialoccasions with an upscale, unique cuisine in the heart of Dayton! Nothing dissappointed, and the service was excellent. We willdefinitely be coming back here to try the other dishes in the future! Read more

The food is amazing, the drinks are divine, and our server Alton is the best I?ve ever had. His energy, passion, and kindness are unmatched. Hands down, one of the best restaurants in Dayton. Gorgeous bar, amazing craft cocktails made to perfection, & apps & entrees... full of flavor. My best friend visiting from Denver absolutely loved it. Her husband is from La Paz, Mexico (near Cabo) so sheis accustomed to the best of the best Mexican cuisine. We will return when she comes in town again! Wish I would have taken morephotos of the tapas! Read more

Also, we sat at the bar and Stephen is an wow excellent bartender! we were told the chef at Sueno is number 1 across the???????? USA. I highly recommend this place. October 2021, we had the 3 tacos pictures at Tender Mercy. Can you please bringthese back? My boyfriend has been asking for them. They were a hit. Read more

This was our first outing to Sueño, but we already have a wish list for our next visit. Sitting at the counter facing the open... kitchen provided a parade of dishes to spy as we decided on what to order. We were beyond impressed with the plating, flavor, and level of detail, every dish we tried. The drinks were also exceptional. Easily one of the best restaurants in Dayton andwould hold its own in Chicago or NYC. Attentive service, attractive surroundings. The price was reasonable for the quality andservice. Decor, and the open kitchen added to the experience. The only possible improvement would be adding outdoor seating. Read more

Went on a Saturday night. Reservations are definitely recommended. The space inside is very nice and the tables were well... spaced. The menu is simple yet diverse enough that you shouldn't have any issues finding something you will like. The servicewas great. Order timing was spaced out properly and the server was present enough but not too much. Overall, we were pleasedwith the dishes we ordered. I can't say any of the food was really exceptional...it was good but some of the flavors were lessthan I expected. The tamale, while creative, was missing flavor. We also had the steak, which was presented great and cookedproperly but not worth $48 in my opinion. Maybe it was our cut but it had more gristle and not quite as tender as we expected.Afterwards, we regretted not going with the chicken or fish. The drinks were also good but again, nothing fantastic. I had theOaxacan Old Fashioned which sounded great as I was expecting tequila and mezcal flavors but it seemed diluted. In conclusion,we would like to go back and hopefully time will help to better establish this restaurant as I think it has a lot of potentialand is much needed in the Dayton area. Read more
