South Park Tavern is probably my favorite restaurant right now. Is it my highest rated?Food, yeah, overall, no. However, this is a PERFECT weeknight pizza and wings joint to enjoy some company and smash some E X C EL L E N T food. Food: This is the first 1/1 I have ever given. The pizza is genuinely probably the best pizza I have ever had.The selection of creative flavors is large, and the freshness is impeccable. It is abundantly clear the pizzas are made withfine ingredients, and that the wings are made with home-made sauces of the highest quality. The wings are average sized, andpretty meaty with little fat. The pizzas, however, are to die for. I have had the Italian, the Hawaiian, and most recently, theGyro Pizza. The Gyro pizza is without a doubt the best I have ever had, with the other 2 up there in that same conversation.Also, a good selection of quality craft beers and sodas. Price: Pricing is fine. The wings are a tad pricy at 9 bucks per 6wings, but the quality makes that alright. Pizza is also pretty average priced, I believe around 22 bucks for a Large. However,Mondays are the day to go, with pizzas being half priced! I do find the price of beer here a bit high. Service: Service isprobably the worst aspect. The waitstaff is super chill and personable, however, I can just tell that a busy night here wouldresult in bad service. On slow nights, the food can take a while, and so can visits from the waiter, but its okay. Its neverbad. It just isnt great. Facilities: First and foremost, this is a tavern. This is not a fine dining restaurant styleestablishment. Theres some booths, a patio, and a few tables and a bar. Very informal tavern style restaurant. Wow! What an amazing place to come for lunch or dinner depending on what day it is. I had an incredible calzone and salad for... lunch with enough to take leftovers for dinner. So fresh and flavorful. Absolutely recommend if you want some homemade pizza! Read more
My wife & I stopped in to South Park Tavern this afternoon to have a little lunch before knocking out our the errands we had.... It’s the 1st time we’ve both been in this establishment to eat a meal. We were instantly greeted by this cool cat namedWeston! He was handling the entire bar & the rest of the restaurant all by himself… and killing it I might add! We started ourlunch off with some tasty Loaded Tavern Fries & a bada$$ Root Beer that was straight from the tap. We then crushed the SouthPark Signature Sub like it was our job! We went at 2pm on May 5th and the server didn't seem to care about our order. I got a medium pizza, fries and 2 beers. It took... 40 mins in an almost empty bar to get food. No one else had food when we arrived. I watched them serve 3 other tables that came20 mins after we ordered. They all got their food first and were eating as we left. It took so long we asked for it To Goinstead. I paid for a medium pizza and got a small pizza instead. I'm so shocked at this service because the 1st time we came,the bartender was amazing! Food takes a while to get out of the kitchen, but it's yummy when you get it. Bartenders are friendly and quick with the drinks... though. Overall it's a good neighborhood tavern. Read more
