Reviews for Salsas Mexican Restaurant in Dayton, OH
Excellent food (seriously, try the Mexican pizza) and super friendly service. Highly recommend.
We decided to go to salsas on 1/29/22, taking my 9 year old granddaughter for dinner. We sat down, took about 10 minutes for... server to acknowledge us. When she did she brought chips n salsa, I asked if we could get some white cheese as well. Another 10minutes went by n I had to remind her. When it came, it was cold. She took our order at that time, I will add there was only 2other tables being served n one was getting ready to leave. About 30 minutes went by n she came n asked if everything was OK, Isaid no its not, it's been 30 minutes n we have no food, how can it be ok. She said their busy. Wow!!!! It was another 30minutes before our food came. The quality of our food was not like it has always been in the past. About 15 minutes into eatingShe walked by us n I asked for our bill n containers to go. She never asked if we wanted another drink or anything. I askedwhere the sweet lady was that is typically there n she said recovering from surgery n then asked me why. Fed up I replied, because the food n service isn't what it is when she's here. She said once again they were busy, n got a take out order thatneeded to get out, that she had to go into kitchen n help cook. I'm very upset with the way things were n will literally walkout if the regular lady isn't there. Last night was ridiculous. Read more
We decided to stop here on a whim. Bad decision!! Food felt like it was all canned food and warmed up in the microwave!! We... ordered the sampler platter, Menu says nachos with cheese!! Cheese was shredded cheese melted. Not liquid!! 1st and last visitall in one.. Read more
I haven't been here in years, and it was hard to believe it's owned by the same people! The look is totally different--very... much ready for the Latin-music dance parties it hosts on the weekends, or the Karaoke on Sundays. But the the food remains thesame--served fast and tasty! We especially enjoyed the salsa bar, that offered six varieties. They even offered souffle cupsin case you only wanted to sample each one (which we did!) before selected those you enjoyed the most. The handmade drinks wereamazing! I asked for fresh lime and patron, and since all they had was Rosa's, our server squeezed fresh limes forme. Although we had to ask for plates, flatware, extra napkins, etc. that wasn't a big problem since we were there in themiddle of the afternoon and were the only ones there. Read more

Ordered Salsa?s burrito during the lunch hour. Disappointed over the quality and taste. There is nothing special about it just... blackbeans and rice and a few pieces of meats. The rice was undercooked. It was all gritty because of that. Nothing specialabout the ?special sauce?. Read more
