I usually do not give restaurant reviews, especially if they are negative. There are a lot of factors in a meal, it is not... always great, not always bad. I've eaten the chicken and ribs combo from them since they have opened. I always loved it. Goodfood, good value. Having said that, it has gone downhill a lot since it changed owners a few years back. The chicken is old, dryand flavorless. The wedge fries cold and soggy, though I did as a food prep person told me long ago, ask for them to be addedfresh when I stop to pick it up. I asked, they did not deliver. The coleslaw used to be my favorite. Now it is a flavorless mushof some type of thick paste. I hate it when an old favorite is lost because they have cut so many corners, yet raise the pricebut this will be my last meal from them. Read more
Been awhile since I've been to this establishment. Prices are still reasonable for the portions they provide. The food arrived... to the table in a reasonable time from ordering hot and fresh with great presentation. I definitely plan to revisit again soonwhen I can choose from the full menu and try some other selections. Read more
I had a bad day at work. Me and my husband went to pick up a purchase we had ordered. Tired of fast food didn't want to cook, so... decided to try here. Always looked busy so thought must be good. We tried to order on line and would only let us order fordelivery. We then called from the store and waited and waited no one answered . Was a 14 mins drive to the restaurant. Wewaited on the phone for that time. Website said had a drive thru. So we just thought we would order there. We get up to thewindow and tried to order , but was a pick up window not drive thru. The girl was very rude. She said you need to call we arebusy. I said we had called and no one answered . She pushed a menu at us thru the window and said call it in. I was furious. A family staple for decades! Some of the best barbecue in Dayton. Wonderful ribs with tangy sweet sauce. Drive thru good and... small dining room to eat in. I have eaten here a few times in the past. The people at the counter are always friendly and helpful. Kinda small place on the... inside but clean. I always get mine to go and it is ready when I get there. Today I got pulled pork, beans and potato salad.Pork was the best. Very tender with good flavor in the sauce. Beans are average to pretty good. Potato salad has cheese andbacon. Pretty good as well. Come in and check them out. All this for lunch for around $7. Read more
This place is great! Their longevity speaks for itself. Delivery.. Broasted chicken with their potato salad and a baked potato.... Dinner roll!!! It's sealed and hot and accurate with condiments and napkins. All on point. This is my go to. Hot hot!Delicious! Read more
