I'm from Texas so please bare with me. First of all, the smoky smell that hit me as I walked in reminded me of home. The staff... is incredibly fun and friendly. The brisket rub was not as spicy as I am used to but the meat was very moist, lean and tender.Really a choice selection of meat that was well prepared. The sauces and beans were sweater than I am used to but they have aninteresting and diverse selection. City BBQ is definitely a better than Dickies which tends to be too salty and dry. We frequently get take out and love the food. Best unsweetened iced tea anywhere! The BBQ chicken is great. I can't resist the... corn pudding. My husband has to have the ribs. Plus the few times we have had a problem with an order they have more than madeup for it. Read more
The photo says it all. The brisket has beautiful bark, it is tender, and full of flavor. No sauce needed. The guy at the drive... thru had a great attitude. You would be hard pressed to find a bbq chain this consistently delicious. Read more
Had the brisket and pulled chicken with corn pudding and bread pudding for dessert. Food came out crazy fast, but the despite... that, tasted great. This coming from a southeast Texas boy. Flavors were all there and couldn't have been happier. I was quitesurprised how good the corn pudding was. First time ever having that and definitely now something I have to implement into myBBQ. Bread pudding was really sweet and I might go for the chocolate cake next time given the price. I'd definitely come back.Staff was great and certainly worth the price. Read more
Edible. Otherwise not worth your time. Wow. Disappointed. First off, I just wanted a pork plate with sides, simple, normal, but... it wasn't on the menu. So I ask, she says yes they can do that for anything listed on the sandwich list. Ok. So then it turnsout I was charged for a sandwich but I clearly didn't get a lot of meat and I also didn't get bread, nor any cornbread in trade.Seriously? I always get cornbread at the city bbq in Atlanta. And then the taste of the meat really isn't good at all, verybland and boring. Next the macaroni is also super bland. I just don't get it, no interesting flavor at all. This is just poorquality, they can be so much better than this, I'm just dumbfounded that one of the better bbq places around me is so bad here.Oh well. I'll remember not to come back. So sad. Ordered City Barbeque Miller Lane the other day. I've never been to a City BBQ, so this was a new-to-me restaurant. I got a few... kids meals so that I could try several things. Made for left overs for a couple of days too. The chicken fingers were reallygood. I preferred the pulled chicken to the turkey. I got several sauces to try and liked them all but one. Not sure which one,because I didn't understand the abbreviations that they put on the cups. ??????????? I was missing the drinks from two of thekids meals. I contacted the restaurant and they made it right! A few things got a little smashed in the bag the way that it waspacked, but it was still tasty. Read more
Great little smokehouse! First thing you experience is the smell of wood burning before you even pull in. The decor is rustic... with industrial accents. The service is quick and courteous with a shout out to Ted! :) Read more
