We had falafel pita and chicken gyro plate both very tasty. And the service was fast. We topped off with a plain Greek yogurt... cup to share. Very smooth and refreshing. We sat outdoors under the shade of a tree. Read more
I normally don?t write reviews but this was just awfully bad that I just had to write my experience with this place. The chicken... is so dry and there was aluminum foil stuck on the chicken!! The pita look like it has mold or burned?? Idk what that blackstuff is but never going to this place again!!! Portion is small and overpriced. I?m going to save you some time and tell you toavoid this place. I?ve been in davis for more than 4 years and you might as well go to shah?s or sams for good halal food.Support the small business and not this garbage franchise. Amazing food, amazing service. A classy young gentleman and a fine young lady helped take my order. The young man who took our... order helped my significant other and I decide on food much faster than we normally do; which was quite a surprise! He was ableto answer every question without hesitation and made everything sound so tasty! The restaurant was nice and clean and our foodcame out in less than five minutes! Decent gyros for a semi "chain" type vibe! Not sure if there are more Nick the Greek stores in other areas but it definitely... gave me a vibe that it was an efficient, well serviced restaurant. Not a typical mom and pop Mediterranean joint, but still goodnonetheless. I ordered the gyro plate and was very satisfied with the portions and enjoyed the extra sauces that came with thedish. Got delivery. Pork souvlaki was tough, salad was overdressed, had onions even though I specified no onions, and they forgot my... tzatziki.
