First let me say I've been going to DeSalvo's (both locations) for well over 25 years. Coming from NY it is the ONLY place I... will ever get a pizza from. The meat lover Sicilian is excellent every time. I've had almost everything on the menu and it neverdisappoints. Chicken Parm and Angel Hair Pesto are favorites. Real family Italian restaurant. **EDIT** Since I got a nice reply to my review, I figured I would try again. I wanted to order something for pickup. Called the... phone number listed on google and the website, and again, I get a message stating the number is not in service. Tried to set upan order online, and the message there states online ordering is not available. I know they're open, but not having theconvenience of being able to order ahead of time and then pick up is a dealbreaker. ** We were big fans of Disalvo's in theirold Plantation/Sunrise location. I heard they're in Davie, and since I work there, I wanted to order a pie to bring home withme. But the phone number listed online just gives a message that the number is no longer in service. Based on my experience- the pizza was super delicious, crispy, NY style, exactly like you are hoping to get. Also the garlic... rolls were so fresh and perfectly made. Just ordered a plain pizza for delivery and I received the worst pizza pie I have ever seen. So awful I didn?t even take a bite.... I handed it right back to the driver. It looked like it was sitting in the garbage and they took it out, put it in a box anddelivered it. How could management let someone even put that in a box and send it out?!? Just one look at it and I wanted tovomit. It was almost see through it was so thin. I will never order from this place again. At least the delivery driver wasgood. Wish I could put zero stars. Ordered the ravioli, small pizza and garlic rolls and the ravioli came with a salad for to go. Does... not look appetizing at all. Did not come with cutlery nor napkins, unacceptable for a to-go order. . It was all extremely bland.We received the food cold. Honestly, we couldn't even EAT the food, threw it all in the trash and wasted $28. Look at thepicture for reference. At least dash some oregano or SOMETHING.
