Always been a favorite of ours. Under the management this day they were seating people with not enough cooks in the kitchen and... we waited over an hour after placing an order. We all understand being short staffed right now, but use good discretion andcustomer service when the experience is terrible. If you have time and don?t mind rude management, it?s a great spot. If youhave somewhere to be and value being treated like a human, find somewhere else. Read more
Perfection would be an understatement for this restaurant! It?s located in the heart of Davidson, and the vibe is immaculate.... But it doesn?t stop there. We were greeted with the warmest welcome since moving to North Carolina. The staff was so friendly,and our waitress was so sweet and attentive. Plus free cornbread?? Heck yeah! Waited mins 45 after ordering drinks without anyone checking on us. (There were 10+ waiters and waitresses.) I asked and waited... on a update for food- didn?t get one- had to ask again. We were told that ?everybody was our waiter? (no one checked on us).When we got an update on food the response was ?we are trying to locate the order?. After an hour of waiting we just left. Noone apologize except the hostess who wasn?t even waiting tables. Read more
Sadly this will have been my last experience at a Famous Toastery. Came on a Sunday afternoon for brunch with family from out... of town. Initially everything went smoothly, our waitress was prompt with getting our drink and food orders. That's where itstopped. We waited 45min from the time of order for our food. My wife and I have both worked food service before so weunderstand things get busy and backed up. Not a problem. What was a problem was that our waitress did not stop by our table onceto communicate the status of our food. We barely saw her on the floor with other tables, she seemed upset and I can't judge whatthat may have been. Sadly nobody else helped her out, which actually made me more upset than her absence. It was clear the teamon Sunday was every man/woman for himself/herself. My wife asked three different staff members for assistance and we wentlargely ignored. We asked one about the status of our food when we couldn't find our waitress, this lady said I'll check. Thenproceeded to ignore us multiple times before we stopped her again. Another staff we asked for some syrup when the food wasdelivered. She also walked by multiple times ignoring us and serving drinks to other tables. My wife went to the front andretrieved syrup from the bar. And lastly we had to ask someone else to get our check because we just wanted to leave. The foodwas late, the communication didn't exist and being ignored by multiple staff was frustrating. Sadly my burger tasted of noseasoning and was well done instead of medium well. But I wasn't about to risk asking for it to be remade because I had justwaited 45min for it to show up. We really loved this place in the past. Unfortunately this was two strikes in a row for FamousToastery. Last time it was a similar experience with my wife at the Mooresville location and sadly we won't be coming back. Read more
TOAST IS BACK! 5+ STARS! I always have a phenomenal experience. Top notch food, atmosphere, and the wait staff is great. I have... been multiple times since they reopened and each time has been an amazing experience all around. I always do brunch here withfriends as the food is always superb. Definitely a lifetime customer! They have the best coffee in Davidson! Read more
We arrived at 2:40 and they still served us with the utmost care. The potatoes are spiced with paprika and Montreal steak... seasoning, but they will make you a side without if you ask. Food was excellent and we were even offered to go coffees. Thanksagain! Read more
Audrey made my Take Out experience an awesome one! I picked up because of Covid. And she didn?t disappoint. She was so polite... and made me feel appreciated for my business. We used to love this place, but likely won't be back. $4 for a drip coffee is a little outrageous for us. Wait time was fine, my... husbands meal (the hash) was lacking flavor and portion size. Really unfortunate. Read more
