Food is outstanding! We were giving free peach cobblers which is what they do for first time guest. This is now on my favorite... places to eat list. ???? The young lady at the registrator has excellent customer service skills, she explained the menu to usand was very helpful in my meal choices. If I ever come back to Davenport this is the first place I'm hitting. Read more

Potato salad is different but was still good. Menu can be a bitconfusing but the cashier is nice enough to help out Read more

Great food, with some customizations for different tastes. I was able to choose between moist and lean for the brisket sandwich.... There are 7 different sauces on the tables with a variety of tangy/spicy to add extra variety. (Moist brisket sandwich inpicture with 3 sauces shown behind. Chicken/Brisket 2-meat sampler + 2 cornbread in other picture) If you are in the area it isdefinitely worth stopping by. Note: Address currently shows in the middle of 53rd, but it is just to the south by First MidwestBank. Accessible coming from West to East on 53rd or you will likely have to turn in at the light at Costco and go behind thebank and other restaurants. Read more

Let me start with the positives. The staff was very friendly. The food came out quickly. It?s a good value for BBQ. The place is... well organized and nice inside. The portions were good for the money as well. The less good, the baby back ribs were dry, saltyand of low quality. The briskets was slightly better, but also salty and served more like pulled pork, than brisket. Thecornbread was devoid of flavor, the baked beans were okay and the coleslaw was okay. I really wanted to like this place. But Ishould have been tipped off when it had a Goggle rating below Famous Dave?s. Read more

Mission bbq is an average to good chain bbq joint. I went on a Thursday afternoon for dinner. I ordered the 3 meat sampler with... the xxl upgrade which added 2 sides and a drink. I got the brisket, ribs, and jalapeno and cheddar sausage. My sides were Macand cheese and coleslaw. They give you a piece of cornbread with the meat sampler. My drink was lemonade. I will work backwardsfrom this list. The lemonade was good, not too sweet, not too sour. The cornbread is the most average cornbread you can imagine, though nothing to complain about. The coleslaw was ok, slightly dry but the finer shred on the cabbage was a nice change fromthe typical course shred. The mac and cheese was good though the cheese sauce was ever so slightly broken. The crispy top layerin the mac and cheese was very nice. The sausage was a touch dry like it had been sitting all day. It was very flavorful andtasty. The brisket was pretty average by itself. The cook on it was just about perfect and the flavor was ok. It really camealive with the sauces. The ribs left something to be desired. They were ok but as it appears I got the end of a rack, they werea bit overcooked and dry. The flavor was good though. I sampled the baked beans and they were ok. The nice thing about thosewere the big chunks of meat in them. I also sampled the banana pudding. I'm not much of a banana pudding person but this waspretty good. There are several types of sauces to use from sweet to smoky to spicy. I sampled all the sauces and highlyrecommend them if you like sauce on your meat. The customer service was fantastic with the cashier explaining how everythingworked and what went with what. The manager was nice. They would come around every so often to make sure everything was ok. Theygave my friend a free banana pudding but not me. The consistency was not that good on the meat as my friend had a greatexperience with his ribs as such that they were not dry or overcooked. They were big, and meaty and juicy where m Read more
