Highly disappointed in our food tonight at the market grille at hyvee locust. My son order the bacon cheeseburger and I order... the grilled chicken w pepperjack cheese and tater tots. 40 mins later food was came out..bacon burnt to cardboard, no cheese onmy grilled chicken, Sam's bun was so soggy it was falling apart, the tater tots were burnt. If this was a bar, it would be tops in the QCA. The burgers are by far better than any establishment I've been to locally. The... rest is nice..........except, The atmosphere is that of an employee break room. Service is not by waiters/waitresses but bygrocery store employees. They are friendly, but it shows. Especially when ordering at the door. With the "floral line two" onthe PA system in the background you can't get in the mood to watch a game like they promote. The best part is your wife seesyou spent money at a grocery store in your debit card, and you got served cold beer and a truly awesome burger (boneless wingsare horrible fyi, they are the sweet and sour chicken nuggets from the Asian food department with hot sauce on them. It's a great place for quiet time with laptop or to talk over a good cooked-to-order meal while catching up on the news. Large... tv's always on and there is a bar available with large selection of beers and mixed drinks. Read more
Breakfast buffet wasn't very fresh today at 11:45 am on a Sunday. Pancakes were hard. Good price. $8.99 including drink.
I used to be able to afford to take my family there for dinner, not at their $20 each brunch plate + tip. I liked it better the... way it used to be, but a bar in the grocery store is genius! Read more
Literally market fresh food. Great specials daily. Decent bar and draft beer selection. Awesome bloody Mary's! The all you can... eat hot wing day is wonderful! Gives you a better reason to head to the grocery store. Read more
