Sat on the patio with our dog. Loved the cheese, fruit n veggie board. Made the experience feel like a picnic. The fig jam and... chopped olives were particularly delicious. Also enjoyed some really fresh and crispy fish n chips with a sprinkle of redcoleslaw and tangy tartar sauce. Will be back. Read more
Everything we had (fish tacos, curried mussels, Brussels sprouts, and sweet potato fries) were dishes we make ourselves, so ones... we hold to high standards. Here, they were made exactly as we like them. Delicious! Plus great beer and margaritas which ourserver offered to make using fresh lime juice rather than mix ? and she definitely did not skimp on the tequila. Had great service, great music and great food! We had Brian as our server and he was very friendly, checked in consistently and... helped me with being vegan for extra options. Food was flavorful and fresh! Live acoustic guitar was perfect, and you have thebeach right across the street. Definitely will come back soon! Great place to chill on a hot day! They seem to always have live music? Steak is pretty good! Clam chowder is awesome and the... drinks are good too. Service is quick and attentive. The owner will likely stop by and chat you up a bit- be honest with him! Helistens to the customer! Very refreshing to have all the good in one place! Did I mention The awesome view? It?s awesome! The iconic Davenport Cash store on highway 1 North of the city of Santa Cruz. With ocean views from the dining room and the... patio, a selection of comfy seating ranging from overstuffed couches to bar stools to dining room and then on out onto patioseating wow! The food does not disappoint, a wood fired pizza oven, California cuisine at its casual best. A good selection ofbeers and wines. Very friendly service. An open kitchen that has a very bistro feel to it where you can watch your meal beingprepared. And even a local crafts gift shop. My guest for lunch bought some handmade soap. I have the grilled cod fish tacos andmy guest had the iconic Davenport Burger with branded bun! We tried the clam chowder and the basil tomato soup. Everything wasscrumptious! Read more
We had the most amazing dinner at the Roadhouse. The new owners really have put a lot of class into the place. We loved the... menu. My husband enjoyed the game hen with roasted vegetables. There were some really good vegetarian dishes as well. I enjoyeda personal pizza and our friend had the artichoke lasagna. So good! They carry some nice wines and a full bar selection. I always *want* it to be good... Fun name and so scenic! Waited a *long* time to be seated. That's okay... It's a post pandemic... world,. Be nice to those who show up, yes? But my burger was very undercooked and the sweet potato fries were undercooked andmaybe from a freezer bag? They had a band which was nice and we sat on leather couches near the fire.
