As I'm from louisiana, I can say their crawfish is WAY overpriced. It is insane to charge $7.99 for half a pound of crawfish... when it's only $4.49 per pound in Louisiana currently! I get having to upmark things but $30 for two pounds of crawfish isabsolutely ridiculous! I will say the service we received was excellent and the waitress was really nice to both of my kids. Andmy son even got a discount on the snow crab legs from $30 to $20 because they had a special. There was nothing wrong with theservice or the food. Only thing is, if they're going to make crawfish, they need to learn how to make it spicy because I gotmine mild and it was barely even hot. I like to taste crawfish with the seasoning on the inside of the meat. Overall, nocomplaints... But it's also craziness that for one child and two adults to eat, it was $88! I never write reviews? but this experience was so wrong.. especially sense I used to be a server and I know how restaurants... operate. I usually come to this place once a week. And yesterday I ordered the pound of shrimp with corn and potatoes to go.. Iget home and one of my potatoes was hard and black on the inside.. I ate around 8 or 9 of the shrimp (not all of my shrimp)before I bit into the nasty potatoe? I went back and told the new manager Anne.. idk about anyone else? but if I get somethingwrong with my food that disgust me, then take the whole thing back and give me a new order. And I never really send food back?but this potatoe was disgusting!! Since I had shrimp, a whole other potatoe and corn not eaten..( I completely lost my appetitewhen I bit into the potatoe smh?) she takes my bag and says ?I can give you new potatoes,? but not replace the remaining food. Ihad shrimp left in the bag. She comes back and refuses to give me any higher up managers information to contact. I was aregular customer and their new manager is horrible? definitely don?t want to come back. I was so displeased that I didn?t eventake the potatoes she brought out? left that bag right on the counter. (She Didn?t even replace the shrimp I had left!) Had shrimp and sausage in butter garlic sauce with a hot spicy level. It came with small corn on cob and 2 small potatoes;... everything was covered in the hot butter garlic sauce. There was a ton of real minced garlic. It was downright delicious. It isa little pricey, but no more than what you would pay at Olive Garden, Texas Roadhouse, etc. Look forward to returning. Despite its presence has a chain throughout the southeast United States, Red Crab in Danville seems to be one of the hot spots... for Cajun Boil Style food. The excellent staff provide an incredible reason to come back time and time again, in addition tothe delivered flavor and presentation of a lot of the menu offerings. Don't wear anything that you can't afford to have stainson as the food is capable of being quite messy... gloves and plastic bibs are offered, just beware! The only downside I've hadwith here is that the kitchen staff sometimes seems to be almost asleep at the wheel so there's at least in my case about a 20%chance that there's going to be something incorrect with your order (things like forgetting to add seasoning, or replacingordered items with other items, or forgetting things entirely) which is quickly remedied by the serving staff present. All inall and overall great experience and one of the top spots in Danville, VA. I highly recommend this place. Read more

Delicious Catfish and sweet potato fries! Great service on top of that! Will return in the future.
