Totally worth the price. Maybe they are not using the expensive meat or vegetables, but the smell and the taste is nothing but... correct. And the size surprised me. One can never get such a big bowl of Tom Yum soup with less than $15. I highly recommendthe papaya salad. The curry is a bit too sweet for me. The Thai tea is too sweet for me, too. The service is also great???? Iam so glad that Danbury had such a good Thai restaurant and I truly wish them good luck with their business. Read more

I live in Manhattan and travel well over an hour to get to Xay's for their Pho at least once a month. That's how good it is. If... that isn't a reason to check this place out, what is? I have not had a bad dish from this place, and the customer service isalways phenomenal. I cannot recommend Xay's enough. Read more

It's not often you find a place where the atmosphere, food, and people are of such exceptional quality. We stopped in for a... Saturday evening dinner and could not be more pleased at that decision. First and foremost, the staff and owners could not bewarmer, kinder people. Although it was a fairly busy evening, Xay and Joy both stopped by to welcome and make us feel at home.To start off we went with Summer Rolls and Hai Gun, both of which were presented and crafted with care. The chili sauce was anexcellent blend of flavor, and the peanut sauce was an extremely pleasant surprise. Mains were Pad Kee Mao and Mee Crob, eitherof which could be used as an ambassador to someone unfamiliar with the cuisine. While it may seem like an odd thing to commenton, the consistency of the gravy in the Mee Crob could not have been more perfect, lifting a bit of rice noodle would reveal acompletely clean plate beneath. Unfortunately we were far too full to indulge in the desert options, but the Thai coffee was agreat note to end the evening on. Tl;dr: I would highly recommend going to eat with these delightful human beings. Read more

The restaurant offers some traditional Laotian fare. As we rarely come across this, we tried the Lao sausage and beef jerky. The... jerky was not tough as the name suggest, but spongey like tod mun. Both were delicious. We also had the tom yum shrimp soup, thedeep fried red snapper, and pad thai. Look forward to returning to try the other menu items. Read more
