Reviews for Tutor and Spunky's Deli in Dana Point, CA
Discovered this Deli this week and was very impressed until my third visit today. Ordered Rosa?s turkey, bacon, avocado, etc.... on squall to go today and when I got home discovered it had very little between the bread especially compared to my first visitwhen I ordered the same and especially for the price you pay. There was a different sandwich maker today vs. my first twovisits. Probably not worth another visit to be disappointed again. Read more
Absolutely loved the sandwiches we got- the portions were big as well
Sandwiches are good but the chicken was a bit dry. Lots of toppings and the meat seems fresh. The service was a bit slow,... but they did get it all correct. Some things like wraps I could not figure out how to order on line. Read more
This place its suck an awesome deli. The ladies in there were super nice and friendly. We asked for a sandwich for our two kids... and my husband and I, and they nailed it! My son said 10 stars if we were able to rate them that high. Highly recommend!!! Read more
Tasteless and messy. The cost of the sandwich was expensive...if you want to waste money go here. I bought a meat sandwich,... but taste like a veggie Read more
This place is a gem. The owner is pretty great too. I must have driven by dozens of times, but only discovered it last month.... They have generous portions and don?t skimp on the fillings. Tons of options and they take cards, Apple Pay, & G pay which isn?talways the case at delis. They have Vietnamese coffee that looks yum, but I haven?t gotten a chance to try. All the sammies areamaze?can?t go wrong! Read more
My favorite sandwich shop in Dana Point, hands down! I have been coming here for years with friends and not once have I been... disappointed. The service is friendly, orders come out quickly and the food is delicious! The uniquely named sandwiches are big, generously packed with ingredients. Trust me, you won?t leave hungry! Aside from sandwiches, they offer soups, salads, bagels/bagel sandwiches, fresh squeezed juices, cookies (I have to get one every time), and shakes. Dine inside, where they have plentyof seating,TVs playing sports games and books for sale, or dine on the outdoor patio with a peekaboo view of Dana Point Harborfrom one block away. *For a more cost-effective experience, order a large sandwich and split it with a friend! *Must try:Regardless of what sandwich you get, order it on their squaw bread, it?s sweet, healthy, and delicious! Also, their housedressing is great on cold sandwiches. In fact, it?s so great I?ve had friends drive back the next day to buy some dressing tokeep at home. FYI They sell their dressing in nicely packaged glass bottles for you to put on homemade sandwiches athome! *First timers: I recommend ?Rosa?s Best? sandwich on squaw bread. It?s their most popular sandwich for a reason! It?syummy and has so many ingredients that would have been more expensive to add on if you were to order a different sandwich (e.g.bacon & avocado). *For an outdoor experience with more amazing views than their patio seating, walk one block West on BlueLantern towards Dana Point Harbor and enjoy your sandwich on the benches at the vista point on the cliffs! All in all, greatplace for fresh & resonably priced sandwiches! I would definitely recommend it to anyone who?s hungry! I will definitely keepcoming back. Thanks Tutor & Spunkys for another great experience! Read more
An almost infinite selection of sandwiches that show lots of imagination. The ingredients are very fresh and served in generous... quantities. The outdoor seating is worth waiting for. A little bit pricey but it seems well worth it. Read more
