Only restaurant accepts us at the last minute on Sunday night! For Appetizer we choose the The Kings Selection and I was... surprised how huge was the oysters, I love it ! We shared in 4 people and it was worth it, the food was tasty and good sides. Irecommend for sure the Key Lime Pie, unfortunately I didn?t take a picture, but was amazing not too sweet not too sour, just inthe perfect spot???????? The server did a good job, Julia I know sometimes it's hard to keep excited at the end of the day, Iappreciate your attention to us. Was odd walking in, they have a sign that says wait to be seated but it's in a hallway with no host and staff just walk by and... say nothing as you awkwardly stand there waiting for someone to address you/seat you. Friendly waitress that was attentive butnot overly. Great service. Good grilled cheese, fries are homemade and perfect size, not to big or small. Cute idea that theybring a small thing of m&ms when they bring the check. They should bring 1 for each person at the table though and not just 1for multiple ppl, If your going to do it. Good atmosphere. Lots of little spaces and the way the tables are it feels private, atleast where I sat. Excellent food. I am vegan and they had a wonderful vegan appetizer and entree. It was falafel balls and then black bean and... quinoa cakes on top of sauted mushrooms onions squash and spinach with some red peppers. On the side was some roasted beets ofdifferent colors. OMG this place is awesome. Everything looks amazing. The fries are out of this world. The best I have ever had. My wife?s crab... burger was fantastic. The best crab cake I have ever had. My lobster salad was truly delicious. The blueberry vinaigrette wasamazing. My Citizens Dirty Mayor cider on tap was perfect pairing for my meal. The appetizer was also fantastic. We had thehoney Brie included pineapple, apples, oranges, cantaloupe, honey dew, grapes and blueberries with strawberries. I can?timagine anything bad here. You need to stop every time you can. We had spent the day touring the Maine Oyster Trail, and, honestly, we questioned our desire to eat any more. At the advice of... Steve, our host at Hawks House, we made a reservation and decided to go for something on the light side before calling it a day. We're so glad we did. We enjoyed a plate of mussels that were plump and cooked to perfection: the broth was exquisite, theaccompanying bread perfect. We followed by sharing crab cakes that were quite good and nicely presented, as well as a salad. The atmosphere was wonderful, as people got together to share their friendship. Our waitress was accommodating andprofessional. Altogether a most pleasant evening. Read more
