Food is definitely good. I ordered a side of devil eggs greens and fried chicken. We sat at the bar until our table was called.... The bar tender was cool and polite. He makes your drink exactly the way you want it. If you choose to park underground bringyour parking ticket inside with you because they will stamp it which will make parking free. A loud boisterous place in Dallas with a mix of hit or miss dishes that will set your pocket book back a ways. Yet the stand... out performer of the menu, without a doubt, is the fried chicken and waffles (with a bourbon maple syrup), all of which can begluten free....yes...gluten free fried chicken and waffles....and they are delicious! Pros: Gluten free folks will know that itis very hard to find either good waffles or fried chicken, much less both at the same place. The deviled eggs were also apleasant and tasty surprise. One of my party thought this place might be a particularly good date location as it is fine diningwithout the awkwardness of a subdued atmosphere. The place does seem to cater to pairs and large parties most often. Cons: The price is high for fried chicken and waffles (>$40 per person, or a full fried chicken for >$70) if you have non-gluten freeoptions available to you. The "spiced Watermelon" side seems to equate to watermelon with salt and a sprinkle of cilantro?Exorbitantly expensive Kumquat cream soda, underwhelming portions with the hummus, bland mango salad, and a so-so beef ribwere all disappointing options for overly high cost and in comparison the fried chicken. Several in my party remarked on theattractive atmosphere for the place, but the lack of noise dampening means you are having to talk loudly over the din ofvoices...the patio or spots in the corners offer some reprieve from the noise. Also be prepared to wait. When we were therethe kitchen seemed understaffed as it took a long time for things to come out even with the place was half full. Also we weretold that gluten free chicken takes longer to prepare which only added to the long wait. I might suggest passing on this placeif you don't need gluten free due to the cost and hit or miss food options (maybe 3 stars), but if you are gluten free then thisis your go-to place for great fried chicken and waffles (four stars on that dish alone). What a fabulous place for brunch! Came with a large group and the host was very accommodating and friendly. I can't pinpoint... what I liked the best. The cinnamon roll is to die for! Fried chicken is some of the best around and the presentation of all thedishes was beautiful. You won't be disappointed . Parking is underneath and very convenient. Read more

My wife and I enjoyed this place. Food was incredible. Texture, flavor, and twist on things. The hot sauce is a healthy balance... of spice and flavor. The presentation of the food is incredible. Sweet tea taste old fashioned like if it were brewing in thesun for 4 hours. Definitely coming back! Read more

Excellent brunch! Extra points for having a gluten free option for the fried chicken and waffles. The chicken was flavorful and... juicy. EVERYTHING was delicious. The fried green tomatoes were my favorite item. Mimosas were good but I was looking for a punchof fruit flavor in the peach mimosa and blackberry mimosa, but I still enjoyed it immensely and will definitely go back. Ourwaiter was perfectly attentive and very knowledgeable. The atmosphere is modern yet warm and inviting. Read more

Strong 5 stars ???? This place was really good! Starting with location, perfect spot downtown, several other nice restaurants... nearby, hotels all around and the federal reserve is right next-door if you need to take out a withdrawal. Ambience was unique, eclectic, very open and welcoming, true southern vibes. Service was on point, hostess was friendly when we arrived, sat quicklyand service standards were as to be expected. Food was incredible. Started with the cornbread and wedge salad, both werephenomenal. Braised short ribs as the entrée, very good, mashed potatoes and baby carrots on point, and braised short rib wassucculent. They also had some type of Oreo dessert, I’ll definitely be trying that next time. Check it out, won’t bedisappointed! Read more

I didn't realize Yardbird opened in Dallas, but boy was I happy to see them on the map close to my hotel. I have been to the... Vegas location many times, in fact in my previous job we rented out the whole restaurant a few years in a row for our tradeshow. I have also been to the Miami location which I believe is the original one. The location here in Dallas does notdisappoint. I have to say my only complaint was the service which is why I am giving them only 4 stars. The restaurant was notcrowded at all, and yet we barely saw our waiter and I had to actually ask someone to get our waiter. Normally I would excusethis to the staffing challenges, but there were plenty of staff around and as I mentioned very few tables that wereoccupied. But overall the Yardbird experience is phenomenal. The food was consistent with my many previous visits to otherlocations. It's absolutely DELICIOUS. Absolutely the best Chicken and Waffles I have ever had. Their cornbread is to diefor. The Dallas location is chic and beautiful, located right in the downtown area. I will definitely return and hopefullyexperience better service. They didn't even come back to fill our drinks!!!! The atmosphere in here is amazing, and the food is delicious as well! I had the sweet tea braised short ribs, my mom had the... shrimp and grits, and our friend got the St. Louis Ribs and the “show” that came with those was worth the trip alone! Thepeach and strawberry cobbler wasn’t my favorite, but it does come in a very unique styled way. We will definitely visit again! Read more
