Millie was my server and she was very polite and courteous, also very attentive I did not have to look for her for a refill not... once. I love the way the whole staff works together like a team, they make it look easy the way that they work together. I left a 5 star review here but edited it after coming here at night and finding the door locked and the place doing take-out... only. Waffle House is now in what seems to be a chain-wide bait and switch scheme regarding their opening hours. Aftersomething like 8-8:30 at night, seems like most if not all Waffle Houses lock their doors and sell take out only. Fine, that'stheir choice. I would just not go, as IMO Waffle House is useless for takeout (you can eat your food either stale when you gethome or out of your lap in your car, neither of which is acceptable to me). What I find completely unacceptable, though, isthat they lie about this on their website and Google Maps, claiming to be open 24 hours. A restaurant is a place that a customercan walk into, sit at a table, and consume food at. If I cannot do that, the restaurant cannot claim to be open!! McD's, forexample puts dining room hours and drive-through only hours on its website and Google. That way I have full information beforegoing there and can choose not to go. Why doesn't Waffle House do this as well? I suspect because they themselves realizenobody would come if they actually knew the place was take-out only. So they do the bait and switch in the hope that you comethere hungry and then order take-out because you're already there, it's late, and you don't want to go anywhere else. Want tocall and verify by phone whether you can currently eat there? When you call you just get a recording that says they are nottaking take-out orders over the phone, then disconnects. In other words: "F- off, customer, we don't need you anymore, so stopbothering us." I, for one, will begin to do them that favor. I miss the Waffle House of 2019 and before, that was actuallyintent on providing a consistently great customer experience at an amazing value. Food was good like a Waffle House is, only thing was we had a new person taking care of us. The person train them just kinda... left them. No one came to refill our drinks and we had to go up and ask for one. Didn't get a our check to pay for it and theperson that was at the register had to ring us up on what we ordered. I wish I could give a zero I would. I places an order online and went to pick it up. The workers were outside playing, one... locked the other outside. The young lady had an attitude. I advised placed an online order and she was like it ain't ready theyhaven't showed us how to use it. That could have been understandable but the disrespectful attitude just ruined any chance ofunderstanding. And she refused to refund me. They never made my order. The location on Greenville/Forest Ln is my favorite spot. The staff is super friendly and the food is great. I only had one bad... experience when a ( Caucasian) customer came in a demanded the music that was playing in the jukebox be turned off cause hedidn't like it but the other customer of color was enjoying themselves. It's things like this that can shut a business downbecause the manager( Caucasian) accommodated his request and took pleasure from everyone else for one person. That's not rightand everyone else should have been compensate for their inconvenience, BUT WE WEREN'T! NOT FAIR, AND A TOTAL RACIST MOMENT OFALL TIMES! SO DISAPPOINTED! Read more
