The service was great and place was clean. My one gripe though was that what I ordered was not pleasant. The slices of tuna used... in my ahi tuna salad had like a tendon ? In them leaving me with fish that I couldn?t chew through. Would probably come back totry what my friends order. But never that salad again Read more
Good place for a quick lunch or dinner. Plenty dishes to choose from and great service. The fish sandwich was delicious with... fried cod topped with slaw. I recommend they make the slaw a little less wet because eating the sandwich was extremely messy andrequires additional napkins. Read more
What a fabulous dining experience lunch was today at Tricky Fish. I'm gushing with love and have a new foodie crush. First off,... let me say how GORGEOUS the restaurant is. Every detail was thought of down to the tricky fish and neon cage at the bar. Howcool is that! Seating is well spaced out and they have booth seating along the far walls with reclaimed lumber accents and abeautiful hanging light feature. Tables are dispersed throughout. A rustic reclaimed lumber long bar style table that seats 20is in the middle with a really cool Mason jar light fixture. The bar is very roomy with 20 barstools and has a rustic barfrontand top with black steel casing. My server Natasha was very friendly and engaging, had great menu suggestions. Per hersuggestion I tried the crab cake for an appetizer and had an old fashioned cocktail. That sounded really good to me on a coolday. The drink had a perfect balance of a hint of orange peel and was served with a large chunk of ice and a cherry. Sopretty! The crab cake had a really nice flavor but the coleslaw with remoulade with sweet and spicy and stole the show here. Iwould love to figure out what this recipe is, it had a really spicy sriracha awesomeness with it. Wow. So. Good. The outdoorseating in ample as well and has really nice plants for privacy from traffic driving by. I enjoyed my lunch out there and hadthe basil pesto linguine that was on special. Absolutely delicious, it had Andouille sausage, chicken and roasted tomato, pestocream sauce. The linguine had a fabulous flavor and the pesto cream sauce was delightful. Highly recommend this dish! Ifinished my drink inside by the bar since it was getting a little chilly, the bartenders were friendly and engaging as well.It's a pity I can't give more than five stars. Brand new location! Must get: gumbo, crawdad etouffee, and the 3-item fried platter with catfish, shrimp, and fried oyster.... Fries weren't very crispy though, despite ordering them well done. Calamari was also really good. I love that it comes with alittle bit of fried okra and fried banana pepper slices. Another plus is that the cocktails were delicious and the staff wasvery friendly. Awesome seafood! The calamari has okra and banana peppers in it which is really tasty and unique. The crawfish etouffee was... excellent as well. Solid options for non-seafood eaters too?the macaroni and cheese with grilled chicken surprised me. Veryflavorful and creamy without being too rich. For dessert we tried the monkey bread on the brunch menu which was piping hot,soft, and really hit the spot. Definitely save room for dessert here! I?d get everything again! Read more
Probably the best fish and chips in Dallas. The portions are huge. It?s got a nice crispy crunch and really nice flaky fish.... Their fries are great. Lots of different sides to go with your fish. Very nice menu and and if you like Moscow mule, they havean extensive mule cocktail list. Cool interior. Think of cool sports bar vibe. Great outdoor patio. Each of the tables seat atleast six people and they have a very nice large corner table for eight people, great outdoor patio. Our waitress was great.
