The cachapas and tajadas are excellent! The tajadas come with a shredded cheese and a dip that both taste excellent.\n\nThe... restaurant carries a large selection of nonalcoholic drinks that people unfamiliar with Latin American beverages may findunfamiliar. The papelón con limón is great.\n\nThe service is excellent too. On my first visit, the cashier welcomed me likefamily and offered to help me figure out what I wanted. I used Google to figure out what I wanted because I didn\'t realize thatthe menu was Spanish on one side and English on the other. Read more

Delicious, very filling food, but the service was a bit odd. I think we were supposed to either seat ourselves or order at the... counter, but there\'s nothing around to indicate that, so we stood around for maybe five minutes before someone saw us and hadus sit down. Waiter never really checked on us, never brought us our water, so we had to get up and get our own from thefridge-- I didn\'t mind that, but I wish they\'d just told us to get it ourselves. The food took forever to arrive, almost 45minutes. The appetizer came about five minutes before our meals. But it was worth it! I think the place just needs to up theirservice game a bit; it wasn\'t bad but you gotta expect to serve people who don\'t know how your place might work. I thinkwe\'ll stick to ordering pick up next time, as the food is outstanding, and finding a Venezuelan restaurant in Dallas is prettyhard! Read more

Very very very good! We had a blast, we ate a burger, a pasticho and a hallaca, good prices and really good maracuchan food.

I really enjoyed the food. My spouse and I split a grilled chicken arepa ($12) and a few empanadas ($4.50 each). The empanadas... were huge and came out piping hot. They had a thick cornmeal crust (kinda like a corndog) and were stuffed with deliciousflavorful meats. The arepa was excellent - the grilled chicken tasted perfect. And the restaurant served a white sauce on theside that was an amazing accompaniment to the food. Drinks were cans/bottles of soda and water. My only wishes would be for asoda fountain and for the arepa to be served with a side like rice/beans, or plantains, or even just some chips. It was also myfirst time eating Venezuelan food, and I would have loved to have a menu with pictures or descriptions of the food. We ended uptrying to figure out what things were by looking at pictures on Google. Read more

The food and atmosphere of the place is great. You know when you can walk into a restaurant and see a mariachi come in to wish... the cook happy birthday you are in good hands. Very local ambiance and integrated into the community. On top of that the foodhere is to die for, if you\'re on a diet don\'t come here because you will be tempted to finish the entire thing even if youknow you can\'t. I got a Patacon Mixto and it was enough for 2-3 meals on its own. Definitely worth it in my opinion, niceslightly sweet plantains, juicy meat, veggies to fool yourself into thinking you\'re somewhat healthy, and a great sauce to tieit all together, only thing I missed that night was a beer.
