Reviews for The Zodiac in Dallas, TX
It's been over 20 years since I've eaten here. It is just as beautiful now as it was then. The croissants with strawberry butter... was excellent. I ordered half sandwich of chicken salad, cup of tortilla soup and spring mix salad. My daughter had fish, potatoes and green beans which she really enjoyed. Read more

We had high hopes for the Holiday Buffet, especially after seeing all the positive reviews. I will say that the dining room is... pretty and makes you feel as if you're in a more upscale restaurant, but unfortunately that's where the positivity ends. Ourwaitress was rather rude and irritated, however it was a busy day, and I'm sure she had a lot to deal with. After being seated,we were served a roll and flavored butter. Although it was decent, we were never told what it was. The buffet itself wasdisappointing. For $50 per person, I expected much better. The caesar salad was soggy, the pita was burnt, and the mashedpotatoes tasted as if they were made from instant potatoes flakes. The macaroni and cheese and ravioli dishes would have beendecent if they hadn't been drenched in truffle oil. The pot roast and lamb was good, but nothing special. For dessert, we hadthe option of chocolate cake, red velvet, or confetti. They were out of chocolate, so we got a piece of red velvet and confetti. The red velvet cake had the texture of cornbread and didn't taste much different either. I'm not sure what the icing wassupposed to be, but it definitely wasn't cream cheese. The confetti cake had a slightly better texture and taste, but that's notsaying much. We barely touched either. For a $135 bill plus 20% tip, it was extremely disappointing. I was excited at thepossibility of making the Holiday Buffet a Christmas tradition, but will not be returning. Read more

Had the holiday buffet. Was expecting greatness. There was a huge variety of food. But disappointed in most of the things on... the salad bar side. The prime rib carving station was nice to have but a bit tough. The sides could use some more flavor. Thedessert was very disappointing. It get 3 stars instead of 2 because of ambiance and waitress.
