Great value and superb food. It?s a cozy little bar with outdoor seating too. I had the bbq blue cheese burger. I did ask for... the bbq sauce in the side because some bbq sauces are meh. Theirs was a perfect mix of tangy and sweet. Mixed with the beef ifthe burger and that savory blue cheese it was *chef?s kiss* perfect. Fries were great too. Loved the old fashioned I had. Ifyou?re in the neighborhood, give this little gem a try! Read more

The first time I came here I wanted to get a coffee drink to-go. I?d just moved to Lakewood and saw this place mentioned many... times when it came to brunch and coffee. I stood at the bar for about 5 minutes and no one acknowledged me. I ended up leavingbecause I couldn?t get anyone to offer any service. Today my husband and I decided to give it another shot for brunch. We weresat quickly and the host brought a high chair over for our young son. When the server came to greet us my husband mentioned thebuckle on the high chair was broken so could we get another one. The server informed us it was a bar and no, all of the buckleson every highchair were broken. He seemed irritated we were there so we left and won?t go back. Read more

It's actually a wonderful place and the food selections are good and tasty. The past couple of times I've gone the vibes have... changed and they didn't have a few items from a already small menu. I would also like to add that I return for the food becauseit was tasty but I NEVER FEEL WELCOMED EITHER. I notice how they are with the other customers vs me and it is clear they wantme to hurry up and leave. Overall I think the food is great if you catch them on a good day. I would recommend but it's notconsistent. I keep wanting that experience the first few times I tried them. Read more

This place ACTUALLY tried to pass BRISKET for tenderloin. I KNOW MY MEATS AND I ACTUALLY SMOKE BRISKETS FOR FOR FAMILY AND... FRIENDS. I ALSO FREQUENT THE TOP BBQ JOINTS IN DALLAS. THEY ALSO CUT IT ON THE GRAIN WHICH FURTHER PROVED THAT IT WAS NOTTENDERLOIN EVEN HAD THE FAT!!! I WAS SO APPALLED. I FORGOT TO TAKE A PHOTO!! WITH A PRICE TAG OF $32 FOR MAYBE 6 OR 8OZ OFBRISKET. I CANNOT BELIEVE THAT ANYONE EVEN IF PLASTERED WOULD NOT KNOW THE DIFFERENCE!!! Read more

Brisket Pot Roast was really good, large portions as well. So I had lunch & dinner for $18. This place is a Gastropub &... seating is quite tight. Drinks were pretty good, I had a Pomegranate Martini & a Lemon Drop Martini. Although the drinks arequite $$ for the amount but really $10-$11 is pretty average for those. I just wanted to try the Heights for somethingdifferent. Might try the breakfast/brunch on another visit. Definitely a good neighborhood spot! But it's not in myneighborhood! Read more
