Retro cool. Sometimes that?s hard to do without going overboard to the retro side. The Beeman doesn?t try to be overtly retro... but rather has some retro touches to keep it interesting. It?s like the Dean Martin of hotels, knows it?s cool and doesn?t haveto try. Great pool area. Nicely appointed bar facilities. The room I stayed in was clean and comfortable with a definite nodtoward using sustainable products. Read more

My initial contact during the booking process was very pleasant. I was to arrive in Dallas very early on a Sunday morning, and... therefore was required to reserve/pay for check-in for the day prior, which is standard for any hotel. For peace of mind, Icalled the day before to confirm that although my reservation began Saturday, I would not be checking in until early Sunday andnot to count me as a no show, and without doing an assessment on my reservation, the staff sternly told me I would not beallowed into a room early Sunday morning. I explained the situation several times, and finally after reviewing the notes, wewere squared away. Once I arrived, there was another guest in line in front of me looking for a lost item and the front deskwas clearly not interested in providing any help. It did not set a good first impression, so I was not surprised at theexpression of disgust on her face when I said I was checking in at 8am. AGAIN, I explained the situation, and AGAIN afterreviewing the notes I was granted a room. The hotel itself, and rooms are very aesthetically pleasing, unfortunately my roomsmelled of sewer and the A/C made a loud scraping noising. Ultimately I felt let down. Not only did I give this establishmentextra money to accommodate my early arrival time just be treated poorly, but the room experience was not great. I would not stayhere again. Read more

The room and bathroom were very clean which I always look at closely and appreciate. The only draw back is that you can't make... the room as cold as you want to(unless you hack the thermostat) because its set to stay within a certain range. The gym isspacious and there are several machines, peloton, free weights, etc. to work out with and a nice open window. There wereseveral flies in the gym that were a nuisance though. Other than that, we were very satisfied with our stay. Read more

We have stayed here twice now. It has always been nice and clean and everyone so far seems to be friendly. The location is... perfect. The issues we had was one morning a child (and his family) was screaming in the hallway at 730am (not the hotel'sfault)....but the only issue with the hotel is we requested a late check out of 1 o'clock. We got the okay from two people atthe front desk. We get a knock on the door at 11:01 asking when we would be leaving. This irritated me a bit as we had our DONOT DISTURB sign on the handle and they could have at least called the front desk to check with them rather than waking us up. After telling the person who knocked when we were leaving, I called down to the office to be sure we weren't being charged foran extra night and we were assured that we weren't and they would let the staff know. 5 min after the phone call, we getANOTHER knock from another employee asking us when we were leaving. We got so annoyed with it all we just packed up and leftearlier. That put a damper on things as we booked this to relax a bit and needed the extra time to unwind. Really want to goback, but a little put off. Otherwise, the hotel is a good place. Read more

DO NOT STAY HERE unless you want to wake up to find that your car and SEVERAL other guests' cars have been broken into. (and no... I did not leave luggage or anything valuable in my car). This hotel has ?not responsible for damages? signs in their parking lotevery 3 feet. Should?ve been my first RED FLAG. The Beeman hotel does not have a security guard or any type of security otherthan cameras that are questionable (during my stay I should say). They had to call the neighboring hotel?s security guard toassess the situation. But don?t worry- they waited no time to text me and remind me of my upcoming check-out time, but not atext notifying guests of a mass car vandalism in THEIR parking lot. The front desk staff was unable to email me their ?incidentreport form? due to their manager not being present. I now have to go home and deal with the consequences of staying at thishotel. The hotel itself was mediocre at best for the price you have to pay. Avoid avoid avoid. Cameras don?t prevent break-ins.Having a secure parking lot should be baseline for the price this hotel charges. Read more
