This was our first time at Terry Black?s. It is very lively place to stop in for great bbq. We had dinner here, the line was... long but moved quickly. You order your sides at one counter, then your meats and pay at another counter. The place was packedon a Saturday night but there was plenty of outdoor and indoor seating at family style tables. I had the sliced brisket sandwichwith pinto beans, coleslaw and peach cobbler. Hubby had the beef sandwich with corn, pinto beans and pecan pie. My sandwich wasdelicious, the brisket was tender and flavorful. The pinto beans were well seasoned, not at all sweet like baked beans (which iswhat I expected). The coleslaw was crunchy with a slight sweetness. The peach cobbler was good, but not special. My husbandenjoyed his food, especially the corn. Overall, we enjoyed it and would visit again when in town. Read more

Terry Black?s has amazing food that is worth the wait. It was my first time there and the staff walked me though all of my... options, and I can truly say they have first class staff. I started off with the brisket it has great flavor and melts in yourmouth. The sausage has just the right spice/heat. The Mac and cheese was cheesy goodness that brings you back to your childhood. The beans couldn?t have been better. The beef ribs fall off the bone. Try it for yourself and you see why I gave it 5 stars. Read more

Customer service was was great. Despite being busy the lined moved fairly quick. It was my first visit and line staff assisted... me with my selection choices. I expected to pay about 25-30 dollars but it was closer to $60. Yikes I was a little surprised.Lots of space for dining in. The creamed corn was delicious. The coleslaw was good. The macaroni and cheese was overlythickened. I prefer my macaroni creamy. I had brisket and pork ribs. The rib was fatty and tough in places. I had to work aroundthe toughness and fat to locate a bit of meat. I didn't try the brisket because I was pretty underwhelmed. The banana puddingwas just pudding and bananas with cookies. No real banana flavor. Actually tasted like a sugar free instant pudding. It wasvisually appealing. The pit tour was cool. The guy was very knowledgeable and polite. Highlight of the visit. It's an experienceand I'm glad I visited. Don't think I'll be returning. It was mediocre at best. Read more

Amazingly tender BBQ without an hour-long wait. The facility is well-organized and has plenty of indoor and some outdoor... seating. It can get pretty busy around noon and for dinner, so plan accordingly. The restrooms are clean. The atmosphere hasgreat energy. The staff is super-helpful and enthusiastic. Sauces at the table include original, sweet (mustard-based), andspicy. Some of the most tender meat I've ever ordered. Overall a great experience. Read more

BBQ food is GROSSLY OVERRATED! Brisket was salty and dry except for the fatty parts. Beef rib was too salty. Sausage and... spare ribs were good, the former being tasty and the latter falling off the bone. But people come here for the brisket and beefribs which received a C- and an F for being $33 per pound. Don't waste your money! The sides were tasty and had a homestylecountry taste. The employees were very friendly and helpful. The place was clean and had an enjoyable, uniqueatmosphere. Because the BBQ overall fell far below expectations, I don't see myself returning. Read more
