Reviews for Ravenna Italian Grille & Bar in Dallas, TX
Good Italian here. Had the lasagna and was VERY good. Warm bread was provided beforehand and helped stoke my appetite. Would... have liked to sit with my friend on corner of bar where we could see each other better since we use sign language. But we wereasked to both sit on one side of bar or the other. Read more
I was an out of state traveller, it had gone 9pm, I needed to eat, in my shorts and wife beater top I happen upon this venue... with thier staff all in waist coats looking very formal. It was a slow evening for the restaurant and when I explained it wasjust me they suggested I might like a seat at the bat. Perfect. The wait staff were attentive but not bothersome. I appreciatedthier level of service despite my casual attire. I wish I could afford to eat there again tonight. Read more
The food is amazing. The sausage is like no other. It taste more like chorizo but still feels like sausage. The Jalapeño TX... Twinkies are very good as well. Read more
Had a amazing dinner with decent staff, the food was nice & the wine selection is very diverse. The salmon portavino was... delicious & a decent size for 30 ish dollar. The salad option to add salmon along the meatballs that come with was amazinglyprice decently. Would highly recommend coming here for a nice date night Read more

Very good, classy, but pricy. We had the lasagna and the lobster ravioli both were excellent! We had drinks which were made to... perfection. The bread was soft and used to soak up every bit of the pink sauce I had in the ravioli. We decided to get dessertsince they had my husband’s favorite tiramisu. The kids wanted the chocolate moose cake, and I got the freshly stuffedcannoli. I have to say it was worth every penny. Read more
Eat. Here. Now. Backstory (short version)... 1) staying in downtown with wife and teenage daughters, 2) long day, grumpy... ladies, 3) late evening "where to go" dilemma, 4) exhaustive search to find "best Italian place" closest to hotel, 5) stumbleonto Ravenna. And then... 1) we're greeted by Steven (our warm, kind, funny & attentive server), 2) we are treated to one ofthe best dining experiences our family has had (ever had). Factoids... 1) Steven is perhaps a hidden jewel in the downtownDallas fine-dining scene, his service being 5-star-plus-plus, 2) menu is robust and *genuine* (aka, your "Italiangreat-grandfather's" recipes, NOT "elitist-culinary-schooled-executive-chef's every-bizarre-ingredient" type recipes), 3) eachand every tiny request (remember, "grumpy ladies") was met with expeditious perfection, 4) each dish served was hot, rich, andplentiful, and 5) we delighted in the cozy, nostalgic environment around us... as the day's woes melted away. Last thoughts...1) when was the last time, after a meal you heard two teenage girls beg, "Dad, when we come back to Dallas, you'll bring us hereagain, right?!?" and 2) have "The Godfather" (adult beverage)... it's the epitome of a dining experience at Ravenna... and as Isipped it, watching all-the-above unfold, I thought, < cliche alert >... "it doesn't get any better than this." It reallydoesn't... so, one last time... Eat. Here. Now. << thank you Steven, you are a master of your craft, keep delighting those youserve -- it matters; this world needs more hospitality... and you, sir, are a great provider of the *selfless-care-of-others*that's missing in much of life >> Read more
