Went here for dinner on a Saturday with no reservation. We decided to sit outside despite it being about 40 degrees but the... outdoor area is well heated and the restaurant manager even gave us some complimentary cheese dip. I enjoyed the dip and mypozole. My friend got the taquitos and the sauce and salad with it was amazing. Typically I don?t eat in this area but thehospitality and food was so good! Read more

Make sure you actually know what you?re ordering! The classics (fajitas) are very much just a meat in a tortilla. It?s very well... done but extremely plain if you aren?t expecting it. This can seem weird considering it takes up half the menu and is soexpensive. My recommendation is the enchiladas. They were phenomenal! Read more

We had one of our most favorite and memorable dinners in years last night at Muchacho?s - Dallas celebrating our very very good... friend, Chris Chen?s, belated Birthday with her husband and their kids. The food, service, vibe and beautiful restaurant wereall absolutely perfect. I could eat Tex-Mex for every meal and be happy and I group Tex-Mex restaurants into differentcategories in my head. Muchacho?s is far and away the leader in high quality Tex-Mex. Of course with, Omar Flores, thetwo-time James Beard Award finalist Chef/Co-Owner along with co-owner Sammy, it shouldn?t be too surprising that they blew theother high quality Tex-Mex restaurants out of the water. The service was also incredible. The whole staff was amazing, but ourserver, Jose, was perfection. He was professional, friendly, happy, proud of his restaurant, he was having fun, and he madeeveryone feel special - especially the Birthday Girl, Chris. Chris is an attorney, but she also went to culinary school so sheknows the difference between good and great food and service. She was beaming the whole meal and commenting frequently about theexceptional quality and fine details of the food and service that most people probably wouldn?t pick up on which added to theenjoyment for Terry and me. At the end of the meal she also added that the server, Jose, was one of the very best -if not TheBest- servers she had ever seen. That is one hell of a complement coming from Chris Chen. She doesn?t make comments like thatvery often. It?s the first time I?ve heard her say it in the 15 years I?ve known her and after having 100s of mealstogether. The Mushroom Fajitas ? Amazing! Vegetarians don?t have to settle with this entree like they do at other restaurantswhen they order. This vegetarian entree is a SHOW STOPPER not just an item to give vegetarians something to eat like thevegetarian options at most restaurants. Beef & Chicken Fajitas looked to be just as good. Desserts - exceptional. So Read more

Upscale Tex Mex with prices to match. I got the fajitas... which are just regular fajitas, nothing outstanding and nothing to... make it stand out from other Tex Mex...and charging $31 is absolutely ABSURD especially for about 7 slices of meat.... The quesohas an overpowering flour taste....nasty. This place is all about pomp and circumstance and to be seen. $19 for a smallmargarita..... trust....we won't return. Way more choices out there. I got the steak fajitas and my friend got the chicken enchiladas. The food was extremely salty, especially the refried beans.... Otherwise, food was mediocre and our server was somewhat attentive. Read more

A great evening tonight! Parking out front was a breeze. We had a 7:30p reservation for a table of 5, and we arrived/were seated... early at 7:15p. Wonderful start to a wonderful evening! Hostess was inviting. Ambience was terrific. Rico was our main server, but he was assisted by a few others who were all so very attentive! We did not need to ask for soda or chip refills. It justhappened. When I was looking around for our server for a kid?s menu, another employee came to assist without being asked. Theguacamole was amazing. The salsa was on point & a bit on the spicy side. The chips were great. My wife?s frozen margaritas wereperfect, as they should be for $14 a pop. They didn?t have a physical paper kid?s menu, but they told us what they could do.Charging $10 for one bean & cheese taco with a scoop of refried beans & Spanish rice was a bit steep though. Our friends had theChile rellenos, which they loved. My wife had the steak tacos al carbon, which she also loved. House-made yummy tortillas! Iordered the redfish tacos, which I thought would be small like at Rusty?s Tacos. I was wrong?and was surprised to get threeinstead of two tacos. While the tacos did not come with any side items, they were so delicious! We ordered the caulifloweresquites as a side, and they did not disappoint either. As a pescatarian, I wish there were a few more entree options and thattheir refried beans were vegetarian/without pork. Unfortunately, we didn?t order dessert. My wife couldn?t figure out how toget into the women?s restroom, so she used the men?s restroom instead; she reported it as mostly pretty clean. Overall, amemorable 4.5-star evening at a fine restaurant that I would certainly come back to in a heartbeat! Read more
