First time visiting as we were on the south side of town, so glad we stopped in! Great recommendations from the staff as we... tried a variety of tacos - the fried shrimp and the quesabirria were really good. We also got a selection of street tacosincluding the carne asada, carnitas, and pork in adobo, all solid choices. I?d like to come back and try some of their specialtyitems sometime. Read more
Dined in with my family- the food was mid. We started with queso and guacamole- the guacamole had good flavor and the queso was... kind of gross. It reminded me of Chili?s queso with flavor and the consistency. The chips themselves were good. I got flautas-the chicken inside was moist and had good flavor. The rice was awful- had a strong cumin flavor and the beans were good. Myboyfriend and son got tacos- he didn?t enjoy the flavor of the tacos and ate mainly because he was hungry. My daughter got thebirria tacos and she enjoyed them. The flavor of the meat was too gamey for me so I personally didn?t like them. The serviceoverall was great- ordering and checkout was quick and easy. They brought our food out very quickly and were attentive. Hidden gym of Oak Cliff! If you are looking for delicious Mexican (NOT Tex-Mex!) food in the area, look no further! My husband... and I stumbled across Maskaras on our second night living in the area and have come back countless times. The staff are alwaysfriendly, the service is quick, and the food is delicious! We usually get the quesabirria tacos with birria broth and chips andguacamole. So incredibly good! This is the spot we always bring out of town guests. Already looking forward to our nextvisit! Tips: This restaurant is usually pretty quiet with plenty of seating so it is a great place for a conversation. Also,plenty of parking spots out front! Read more
First time customer! I will definitely be back. Very clean, well lit, and friendly service. Everything came out piping hot and... fresh. I had the quesabirra tacos with consome, and my boyfriend had the enchiladas with green sauce. The homemade chips andqueso were superb. Very cute place and excellent for old school luche libre lovers! Def took me back to when my son and I were fans. The place is... clean and I liked the decorations throughout. The food was good. Man! This place is an amazing spot. We started with chips and queso. I had both types of shrimp tacos and my wife had tacos... ahogados. Best shrimps tacos I?ve ever had.
