Chicken fried rice is always so good. The green apple slurpie is my favorite here!

I ordered the gumbo and from the smell I knew it was not going to be a good experience. Gumbo has a certain aroma from the... spices and the roux, also usually there is a slight separation of oil and roux that red in color. After tasting the gumbo ot waslittered with black pepper gumbo or cajun food has a certain heat but not a pepper flavor type of heat, rinsing out my bowl youcould see the over population of pepper residue in the bowl. Stewed tomatoes are not normally used (optional) gumbo is not atraditional stew. There was no bay leaves used, no filet powder, no Tony chacheres seasoning, and roux may have been engineeredby browning liquid. No chicken stock or seafood stock was used just plain water which is apparent by the flavorless chickenshrimp and sausage. I will not be ordering this again Read more

Located across the street from West End Station, I came in to try something different from Williams and PT's chicken. Inside... area is very small and all orders are to-go only. I got some tenders for lunch and biting into one was absolutely delicious, crunchy, and flavorful. Mashed potatoes tasted exactly like it should. Will try the gumbo next time. They also sell traditionalleg, thighs, wings, and breast pieces of fried chicken. A few chinese dishes like fried rice and egg rolls are available aswell. A small warning, all the chicken is a little on the spicy side. There is no regular option. While it is not as spicy asother chicken restaurants, be warned you will feel a tiny burn. The only "negative" I would give is quite a few loiterers liketo hang out by the liquor store next door. You can easily walk around them, and I have had no problems with them beingthere. Overall, I highly recommend this location for those who want to taste some good fried chicken and I will be back verysoon. Read more
