Wow! I was actually looking for the old Trompo taco when I stumbled upon this place and I couldn't be happier. They recommended... the truffle elotes and my wife and I loved it, as well as the pork quesadilla. The highlight of the meal for me was the greenpico...the perfect addition to the quesadilla, with a strong and delicious salt and lime flavor. Well done! We'll be back. Read more
The service was super friendly, and the food was incredibly delicious and interesting- the cuisine was reminiscent of... adventurous chef-driven restaurants I've visited in Mexico. Where do I begin??? The lemon pepper wing elote- the roasted corn sets off the perfect combo of zing and tang. Heaven in a... cup! Pork belly- like a cube of hot pork flavored butter. Just melts in your mouth!! Pozole frito pie- just when you thought itcouldn?t get any better!! The layers upon layers of flavors are just yummmmmmyyyy!! Shishito peppers- limey, salty searedperfection! Veggie quesadilla- I?m not a big veggie eater, but I would go out of my way for this! La Bamba elote- deep fried,spicy, salty and sweet! I LOVE the Elote's here. The corn is roasted and fresh off the cob and not watered down like typical places. This is literally... the only place I go to for these kinds of snacks. Every time I come here, I try a different flavor. The staff is SUPER nice too. Read more

New place in West Dallas, Locura is a fabulous spin on Mexican food. They over SEVEN types of elotes and one rotating special... elote on the weekends. I had both the pesto elote and the truffle elote, both excellent options. Flavorful without over poweringthe sweet corn flavor. These are FRESH corn on the cobs, not canned. The Pozole Frito Pie is another clever take on mixingMexican flavors (pozoloe) with American classics (Frito pie). The pork is tender and flavorful. However, my opinion is that thetrue STAR at present are the fried pork belly bites! Crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, they are cooked to order andserved with a bright, herbaceous dipping sauce that is the perfect counter to the rich, decadent pork belly. If you are avegetarian, grab and elote, some ribbon salad and the blistered shishito peppers. There's a little something here for everyone.It's a takeaway place, so run in, grab food and have a picnic. Read more
