Very disappointed, I received my plate of food, and can someone explain to me how this plate in this photo attached Is ?Shrimp... Fried Rice?. I called letting them know I wanted to talk to someone about a refund and they hung up on me. I called again andshe did not hang up, but was rude and said we ordered the wrong thing. She said I ordered the shrimp fried plate?.there?snothing on the menu that says shrimp fried plate. The food cost over 16 dollars after tax and not only is the portion way off(literally 7 pieces of shrimp..), this is plain white rice. Does not make sense whatsoever. I was trying to explain what Ireceived to rectify the situation and the lady on the phone was extremely rude, and talked to me like I was stupid. Theexplanation I got over the phone is the shrimp is fried and comes with rice. I tried to give the benefit of the doubt after theysaid I ordered the wrong thing, but then all of a sudden they explained how this actually ?was? the shrimp fried rice and theysaid there was nothing they could do. I asked to talk to a manager and/or a supervisor since I was getting nowhere and was toldneither were in and that she could take my number down. Very disappointed, will not be returning and will be disputing thecharge with my bank and filling a complaint with the BBB and Federal Trade Commission. Read more

5 stars for the flavor but 4 stars after the price and portion size. Went with my friend, I got the LaVui banh mi for $11, and... he got the shaken beef for $18. Pho would have been $13-15 (average-ish price for a pho around here). Beef flat noodle $16. Weboth enjoyed our meals. The banh mi was very fatty and savory, which I liked. But it did look like the shaken beef was a littlelacking in meat. Service was great. Ambience was nice. Indoor seating is a little limited but they have outdoor patio seating ifthe weather permits. Overall would come back at least to try the pho Read more

The food was excellent , the service was helpful. I got the Royce Sushi roll about $22 and it was worth every penny. The citrus... and crunch was a pleasant surprise. The entree was cheaper than the sushi and it was more fulfilling I got the shaken beef withsteamed rice. It was my first Vietnamese restaurant and I was excited and not disappointed I will be going back for more. Read more

LaVui is a cool place to eat. It has some character. They claimed there was a Vietnamese cook in the kitchen. I like the... location which is very convenient. Parking is easy and available. (Kids may love looking up to watch the trains go by or seeairplanes taking off to the sky from a distance.) The place is quite small and feel a bit cramped and mostly has tables fortwo, with a few table for four. Large party would be a challenge but it may work to rearrange the tables and chairs. Our serveris nice and polite. The other lady server seemed not in a good mood and we could tell from how she was serving her table next toours. Our meals are alright, but there is room for improvement. Their egg rolls are bit dried, maybe been refried. The chickencurry is huge but a bit salty and the baguette goes with it is quite dry and chalky. The shaken beef is really good and spicesdone right. (Shaken beef is one of my Vietnam favorites and I know the dish well. The beef is tender and not overcooked.) Thank you!!! Good job! LaVui?s prices are quite high to be frank. I would mot mind coming again when around thearea. Maybe a treat once in a while. Read more

$15.50 for a pho bowl that barely has any noodles and not even a full meatball. this pho is supposed to be a beef combination.... The broth was cold I live legitly two minutes away from this place and I placed a pick up order. I was charged 10% service feeon top of the overpriced pho and boba. I would not recommend going to this place. Not worth the value at all. Read more

This place was absolutely wonderful.. I stumbled upon it due to convenience. I ordered the seaweed salad, spring rolls and a... bowl of Pho Tai. Everything was absolutely yummy so good that I returned to have lunch the next day This time I went the sushiroute, the spicy tuna spring roll and the Tuna and Crab roll, just wonderful. My server was very friendly and made sureeverything was to my liking. I will definitely be back. Read more

I did not know this restaurant was so small! There were maybe 6 tables or so inside and they we filled up when I arrived. There... are tables outside and they do have the portable heaters, but it was cold, so I just got it to go. The prices here are a littleon the expensive side, so be away, but the flavors are delicious and the portions are large, so it's worth it to try. The shrimpspring roll ($7.50 for 2) and the peanut sauce that comes with it was my favorite thing, but the chicken pho ($13.50) wasdelicious too. They give you a lot of broth to go so you can fill up your bowl and have a little left over to sip on as a snack. I will return to try more of the spring rolls. Read more

Was excited to go here after learning it was owned by the same chef as Oishii but we left disappointed. There needs to be some... quality control. -one waiter to service about 10 tables -dirty spoons and black stuff floating in our water -the grout on thelarge front counter that covers the entire length of the restaurant was so dirty it was pink. People had to eat next toit. -overall the restaurant felt unhygienic. -food was good. Waaaaay too many onions and the onions were chopped very large.Kind of cheapens the dishes. The beef flat noodle could've used more beef and noodles rather than onions. -mexican/Spanish musicwas playing. Kind of ruins the authenticity. I know this place is relatively new so I hope they make some changes. Read more
