I come here just for 1 dish. , Fried shrimp tostadas ???? delicious ???? . The service is great and the price is good. The... only reason im not giving 5 stars is because there are some dishes like shrimp soup are not tasty , looks like they just boiledwater and throw some shrimp, veggies and salsa on it. Read more

First of all, excellent job to my waitress, Cristina M! She was very attentive, knew the menu well, and made recommendations... for dessert (although I was too full to order any). I’ve been here many times but felt compelled to write a review today dueto the excellent service. I ordered their well known enchiladas verdes which were amazing along with a cup of queso with beef. Everything was delicious and fresh! Highly recommend this restaurant as well for someone craving excellent Mexican seafood asthat is what they are mostly known for but if you want a different take on enchiladas, order their enchiladas verdes and youwon’t be disappointed! It's been a couple of years since the last time we visited La calle 12 and yet it was just as I remembered. The decor hasn't... changed that much. They added a couple of things like the "Sacred Heart of Jesus" on the wall (in good taste not the sunbleached picture you usually find in Mexican restaurant) the music was at nice level, meaning you don't need to yell over tohear the other people at your table. The food presentation was superb, it looked appetizing. We ordered 1/2 dozen oysters and aspinach quesadilla. Which were plenty for 2 people. (Portions were good) a margarita, a micheladas and a ???? hibiscus????infused water ( highly recommended) the margarita was too strong for my taste but It gave me a nice buzz. The good: the food was wonderful, even though my wife’s tenderloin was over cooked, the taste quantity, and quality were... there…the beer was served in a frosty mug. The not so good: our server was terrible. I had to ask the manager who waswalking by to get him, and still get up and hunt him down to do anything. He was playing on his phone. Paying $50 for a latelunch and having to chase the server was very frustrating! 4 stars because of the food, NOT the service! Read more
