Reviews for India Chaat Cafe in Dallas, TX
This is a fantastic little cafe and I will definitely be coming back. We got the tandoori chicken and Tikka masala. Both were... sooo good and the masala was spicy without being too much (you can request hotter but it comes perfect for me) The dinnerservings comes with sides of paneer and lentils in addition to the basmati and naan. The samosas were nice and crispy and Iloved the mint chutney that came with them. Read more
Food is delicious but didn?t like the food color on top of the chaats. Customer service is very good.
I've been coming here for their lunch specials off and on for years. Today I had the Methi chicken (onion based sauce with a... dash of cream and fenugreek) lunch special. It came with naan bread, rice, and cucumber salad. Pretty good for $11.99 plus taximo...in these times. I have leftovers for another meal. Everything I've had there so far has been good. The daily lunchspecials change daily so make sure to check out their website for the day's special and prices. Read more
Better tasting Indian street food dishes compared to other restaurants in the vicinity. Samosa chaat warm, flavorful and tasty.... Dahi Bhalle was over sweet, I?d prefer slightly on the spicy side and a bit creamier with some nuts or accompanies. I will notrecommend chai tea as it was bland with no masala or taste. Read more
I have been to other Indian Restaurants in Dallas area, and being a Bengali I have to say my experience in India Chaat Cafe was... not upto the mark. We ordered the Seekh Kebab ALaCarte, which included 8-9 small pieces of goat (not sure) meat kebab, daal, and 1 Naan cut in half. This cost us $15 plus taxes. The dish was very underwhelming in terms of taste, portion, andpresentation. The Naan was burnt, the kebab portions are too little, and the daal was OK. I would appreciate if they gave asalad gravy with it. The portion sizes must be increased for the price we are paying for it. To give them another chance, wealso bought a samosa chaat which is a popular item over there. Again, the item itself was pretty good but the portion sizes aretoo small for 2 people to share. The price of the chaat was $6 plus taxes. We also ordered two fountain soda for $1.5 each, andtwo Indian chai. The chai is a big deal for me as I am a huge chai lover but this one did not meet my expectations. Theenvironment is excellent, with super clean interior and bathrooms. The chairs and tables are well decorated and clean withbeautiful paintings and ambience. If you like to have apatizers I would recommend this place but overall it deserves a 2 starfrom me for its portion size and bad taste of the seekh kebab. Read more
I had went in to get some papdi chat and dani puri. 2 of my friends enjoy dahi puri, me and my other friend only eat light dahi... so opted for papdi. Usually papdi chat is light in dahi but they had drenched the papdi in so much dahi it was like a soup. Noworries. It was our first time there. We wanted to return the papdi and get a replacement and had opted simply for paneer tikkaroll and chchole bhature. The woman is very helpful and I should have asked for suggestions not know how they made their papdichaat a lot differently, I would have order enough Batura and rolls for everyone. The bhatura was very tasty and so was theroll. Will definately come here for less chats and more hot desi FF options. Read more

It?s another usual Indian fare. We ordered Aloo Chaat, Paapri chaat, methi chicken & chili chicken entree. I was hoping for an... above average meal after reading some reviews but was disappointed. The service was quick, hence the 4 stars. Request tomanagement - Please avoided the green food coloring, it doesn?t enhance the taste anyways. Read more
