We only discovered Hong Kong last year and it is now our favorite Chinese restaurant we've in Dallas. The food is very Hong... Kong/Cantonese, much like you would find in the Midwest (or more commnon 40 years ago) and not Hunan/Sichuan or NorthernChinese. However, it is very good for its style and the prices are impossible to beat (nearer $10/plate). May is also a dear! Read more

Go! Clean Place and HUGE PORTIONS! I got hooked on this place by a coworker. Wow! They have huge portions and the staff are... incredibly friendly. The location is really clean, and you have options to tweak the menu according to your liking. I will be arepeat customer in the near future. Read more

So disappointed? the food was mediocre at best but honestly what killed it for me was the staff who just ignored us then made me... and my family feel like a pest for even walking in. I don?t even have the words to describe how unwelcome we felt. I will not bereturning as one time was enough. So bummed cause they?re the only Chinese restaurant near me. The food: The garlic shrimpbarely had any shrimp just mostly veggies plus the shrimp was so tiny and shriveled up, I wasn?t sure how old it was. The orangechicken was comparable to Panda Express and the egg plant was less than stellar. I will say the chicken fried was pretty good. Read more

The restaurant is nice you can eat in or take out the people are very friendly that works there I think it's a family... restaurant. The food is very delicious I know they got some kind of special sauce. I usually get shrimp lo mein and shrimp andbroccoli. I love the egg rolls they are huge and very delicious. it can be a little expensive you're spending anywhere from $13- $15 a bladder you usually spend about 30 to $45 but you can feed your whole family. I stopped in to have dinner here, for the first time in 40+ years. Yes, really. They opened in 1958. My family used to stop... here when we were back in Dallas, & I particularly recall the delicious egg rolls. And they still are! It's very good Chinese, but I think take out is a bigger deal these days. I'm glad I did this. Itch scratched! Read more

Order Pineapple Chicken , chicken was barely warm , and pineapples were frozen, when I mentioned this to them , it didn?t seem... to phase the waitress. She said it was okay , then the older man came by ( husband maybe) I mentioned it him that thepineapples were frozen- he referred me back to waitress. This place doesn?t care what type of food they serve to you. Like itwasn?t a big deal - last time I?ll come here - stay away if you don?t want frozen food. Read more

Some hits and some misses. Ordered Hunan Beef which says is supposed to be very hot. They forgot to add any heat to the dish.... Still tasted good. Combination sweet and sour was good, but one larger piece was a little under cooked. You can up grade anyentree to a deluxe dinner for $ 5.95. You get your choice of a cup of soup, a puffed shrimp, egg roll, red bbq spare rib,Chinese almond cookie. Rib was a little strong pork tasting, excellent homemade egg roll, great wonton soup, puffed shrimp good.Long time family and friends owned. Want to go back and try other dishes. Read more

I give it two stars because as much as I hate to admit it, I will still probably return for the $5 lunches but I will have low... expectations. Chairs were torn, carpet was dirty, the place desperately needs a facelift. All of the food was mediocre exceptthe eggroll which had no flavor. I tried the Hunan beef and sauce was thick like gravy and the beef was really chewy. I couldtell the veggies were fresh but that didn't help anything. The rice was mushy and the soup wasn't great either. When I just needto fill a stomach void, I might be back for a cheap lunch but I'd never bring someone with me. Maybe there is a better plate,I'll let you know the next time I go. Staff was alright, I got offered a refill on water at the end of my meal. The free softserve ice cream was terrible and had little flavor. Read more
