Reviews for Holy Crust in Dallas, TX
First time here due to being new in the area. Placed a call in order for the half pizza half salad. We'll let me tell you. It's... super sloppy. The presentation fits the taste. I ordered the margarita pizza since it's bomb everywhere else and decided to addsausage like I normally do. When I arrived, my pizza didn't have the sausage (was on my reciept). When informed if this thewaiter helped out but the cooked looked as if I shouldn't dare ask to remake it. Well they didn't all they did was took the boxback to the kitchen they added cold sausage and gave it back to me. I found out it was cold once I made it home to plate andenjoy. Welp, let's say that went south! I tried adding Italian seasoning and parmesan cheese IT still tasted fresh! Bar needswork as well, drinks are too sweet and full of ice, no alcohol. Do better. Will NOT return. I'll rather drive across town! Read more
Easy 5 stars for this restaurant. The pizza taste great. Much better than the traditional pizza restaurant we all know, in my... humble opinion. I was very hungry when i went there, so i pick 2 of the New York size slices. I had a hard time finishingthen. Great environment especially in the evening. Service was great as well. They took there time to show us all the options wehave. Read more
My wife and I loved our meal. We highly recommend to check it out. Our waiter was nice enough to pay for our meal on the house... due to a long wait time he apologized for. We're thankful that he took care of us. Read more
Oh we've definitely found our new favorite pizza place! I took my family here and then my husband and both parties LOVED it! The... gentlemen working were so polite and happy and seemed like they were having a great time. The atmosphere was very friendly andhad great music and vibes. Pizzas are about $15 and drinks are about $10 each, so not too expensive at all! My husband and Isplit a BBQ chicken pizza and a meat lovers. The BBQ chicken is DIVINE. The crust is like a thick thin crust, so good! You canreally taste each individual ingredient and tell that it's fresh and real! It's not overly greasy at all and doesn't give you astomach ache or a bad aftertaste. The drinks were really good as well! The watermelon sugar tastes like a jolly rancher. Theyhave very cute clean bathrooms as well! Read more
I am giving 2 stars only because the service and the happy hour were good. The food was not good. The stuffed mushroom was a... single large mushroom cap with some ground sausage in it and then battered and deep fried. It tasted like it was not fried freshand was reheated from frozen. The meatballs were not bad but they tasted like some frozen meatballs from Costco. The meatballswere probably the best part of the meal. The pizzas were terrible. We tried the crispy pepperoni and the sausage with vodkasauce. The pepperoni was very salty and the sausage had a weird flavor. Maybe too much fennel. The crust was just terrible. Itwas bland and honestly the pizzas tasted like cafeteria or buffet pizza. I really expected more from this place. Read more
First time visiting Holy Crust, and I would definitely go back. Trinity Groves is a cute area. The pizza wasn't anything to... phone home about, but still good. However, the fries and drinks? Wonderful! I got a mojito and it was one of my top 5 from arestaurant. Read more
If you're at work (or even at home), stop what you're doing and get over to Holy Crust! Had our first visit yesterday and we... were more than impressed. Must start with the fact that Happy Hour is great, $2 off beers and cocktails (the waitress told us itwas every day but I need to verify that). Service was friendly and prompt. The Caesar salad is awesome, I could taste theanchovy paste in the dressing- creamy and delicious! The pizza is also delicious (we got meat lovers) and fresh. I was surprisedthat the place wasn't very full, it should be! We will most definitely be back as I must try the other pizzas! Read more
Would easily give this 4 stars if it wasn't for the service. Food was really good, and the 1/2 pizza, 1/2 salad is a unique... food item that I've never experienced in this format before. I had the Crispy Pepperoni + Caesar, and it wasdelicious. However, our waiter - nice as he was - needs to write EVERYTHING down when taking an order. Out of a party of 4, Iwas the only one whose entire order was correct. Another person's pizza wasn't put in until the rest of us had our food andthey realized it was missed. One person's homemade chips ended up being french fries despite making sure the waiter knew hewanted chips. And another person's house salad ended up being a Caesar salad instead. I think our entire experience would havebeen pretty close to perfect if he had simply written everything down. The manager was nice enough to comp the pizza thatdidn't get ordered. But we didn't even mention all the rest because they were busy enough that it wasn't worth it to make anissue of the other items. I'll come back and give them another chance, but I really hope that before then, they train allwaitstaff to write down their orders to ensure they're correct. Read more
