Reviews for Halcyon in Dallas, TX
This is overall such a nice cafe. The interior feels both cozy and spacious. All the staff members I interacted with were warm... and helpful. The mocha had a rich flavor and wasn't overly sweet. The avocado toast with salmon was amazing - and a biggerportion than I expected. 10/10 I definitely recommend checking it out! Read more
Coffee? Excellent. Breakfast food? Also excellent. Leaky roof? Affirmative! Great spot for coffee and food, just wished the... leaky ceiling wasn't there. I believe it was being worked on at the time so hopefully when I go back for another round it won'tbe an issue. Good vibes, friendly staff, cool music and not too crowded (I went during the week). Chorizo taco, bacon taco andavocado toast were quite delicious! Read more
Halcyon provides a Great Atmosphere, very earthy, and beautiful Scenery. Halcyon is pet friendly and has dog bowls available. If... you are looking for a place to study, this is s excellent spot. Menu options are fantastic, and if you happen to be vegetarian;or vegan, They have various choices as well as drinks. I'm the biggest fan of their chai latte; with oat milk. The service isspot on, as well as the attitude. There are also games to play if they're with a group of friends. Read more
Both food and drink was really good! And really cute atmosphere inside. I especially enjoyed the peppermint hot chocolate.
Good vibes! Although this place is described as a cocktail bar, it was an incredible location for brunch! Coffee was great, food... was greater, atmosphere was greatest. Whilst the wait was long for the food, the wait is worth it. Went for the Big D’sBenedict and it was cooked to perfection with runny eggs and perfect hash brown. Read more
Love the artistic, eclectic vibe here. The food is great, they have patio seating and couches, chairs, benches, and booths... inside as well as a bar. Our server was great. It's a nice, spacious place good for a variety of coffees or brunch. Read more
I came on a Saturday morning. There is a parking lot across the street, but you have to come early since it fills up fast. I was... seated right away, and a server came fairly quick to greet me. The acoustics here are amazing, you can hear every singleconversation around you, and it is really loud, not too happy about not being able to hear my server speak. I ordered a mimosaflight ($14) and was given more time to look over the menu, about 5 minutes. I then ordered country style benny ($13) and afterabout 15 minutes my food came. I asked my server where my drinks were and was told the bar was backed up. I understand since itwas busy and my bar must do coffees and cocktails, but I would have liked if my drinks came before my food. When they did comeout, I was disappointed. The original mimosa, tasted like it should, but they all tasted the same. It's like did not put enoughof the different flavoring in. The food was tasty though, the potatoes were under seasoned. I will come back on a weekday nightto see if I have a better experience. Read more
I'll admit I didn't have high hopes for this place when we walked in. It very much has that Starbucks cafe kind of vibe which... makes sense because it's a bar/coffee shop(I guess). I usually don't hold either of those things in high regard for their foodbut I was wrong this time. The coffee martini was excellent. The flatbread was good, crunchy and thin. The Texan sandwich, similar to a buffalo chicken (sort of) but not, and wasn't a Nashville hot. They're doing their own thing over here and I'm notgoing to lie, it was pretty awesome. @DallasFoodFun Read more
