Reviews for Family Thais Asian Bistro in Dallas, TX
Ambience inside really represents Thailand?s beauty. I ordered the Tom Yum Soup (sweet and sour). Good flavor to the broth,... chicken was a little rough but overall pretty good. Read more
The food and drinks at this location are fantastic! It?s my favorite Thai restaurant in all of Dallas. I started ordering... delivery from this restaurant during the height of the pandemic and finally dined in for the first time in March. My favoritedish is Pad Woon Sen and out of the 25 times I?ve ordered from this restaurant, I?ve never had a bad meal. I also love theWonton Soup and their handcrafted lemonades with popping bobas?they?re delicious and refreshing! The only issue is streetparking around the restaurant is very limited. If you?re lucky to find a street parking space, it?s 60 cents for 15 minutes. There?s plenty of parking lot parking, but some lots charge as much as $8.45, even if you?re just picking up. However, parkingfees aren?t an issue for me, considering the deliciousness that awaits! I?m going to try and visit for the 26th time thisweekend with my roommate and I can?t wait! Read more
I got a beef pad thai at a level 3 spicy and it was the perfect amount of spice to work up a sweat! I love that there was a... small size for the tom kha soup because I hate having to choose between the pad thai or a soup meal. The pad thai had a veryauthentic chewiness of the noodles and was light in the sauce but I thought both were delicious. Read more

I Asked For A Spicy And I Wasn?t Aware That They Would Put The Whole Bottle In The Food. No Lie, It Has A Tangy Taste To It But... The Spices Is Throwing The Whole Flavor Off. If I Were To Rate It- Id Gove It 1.5 STARS Out Of 5. I Highly Recommend To Go To?Zato Thai Cuisine.? There?s Much More Variety And Flavor There. (And As You Can See, It Seems As If They Poured A lot Of SpicesIn One Spot, You Guys. Also As You Can SEE ONE Part Of The Rice Is White And Everything Else Is Red. They Didn?t Season It VeryWell Which Makes It Hard To Enjoy, Let Alone Eat. Much Love Everybody! And Enjoy The Rest Of Your Day. Read more
Family Thais is a clever name, I'll give them that. Honestly, I chose this place because it was about the only eatery I could... find in the West End that has a wheelchair-friendly entrance. (So much for the ADA.) But, FTs has a full-fledged RAMP to theirfront door! I fully expected them to be centered around the Boba Tea they advertise on their sign, but it turned out to be atrue dining spot. Once inside, it got a little tight for my power chair. But, the line to order was short (at ~5 PM). You orderat one counter and pickup at another... not my favorite arrangement... I prefer table service. There appeared to be a lot ofpeople picking up pre-orders. Still, not crowded. There is some room for dining in. Somehow, my order got confused and, notknowing what to expect for prices, I did not catch it when they charged me "double" ($28)... I got TWO orders of ginger stir frywith pork (and a can of Dr. P). (Yes... that would have been kinda pricey for one order, but I couldn't see the menu verywell... didn't know the pricing. I plead "newbie".) Still not sure whose fault that was. But, it all worked out serendipitouslyin the end. I ate one there and had them box up the 2nd one to go. Now, I'm thinking about how nice it will be to have gingerstir fry plus pork tomorrow! Gosh, that stir fry was delicious! And fresh! Good mix and cuts of veggies. Pork in almost everybite! They had Sriracha as a condiment, along with soy sauce. And, it's a good thing, because even though I ordered the "Packs aPunch" level of spice (Level 3... there are 5 levels), it didn't taste all that spicy to me. I'm ordering Level 5 next time. (Iadmit my taste buds are old... 75.) The staff were friendly and helpful. The place looked clean and tidy, if a bit cramped. Andlooking back on it, the price was decent. And, since FTs is located right on the DART rail line between Lamar and MarketStreets, I'm very happy to have finally tried them. I will definitely be back! Let the train wait on me. EDI Read more
The interior is a lot smaller than I was expecting. The staff was friendly, but there was a lack of actual service. On the... bright side, the food was fairly inexpensive. The food also came out within about ten minutes of ordering, another huge plus. The food itself was fairly good, but the meats, chicken and beef tasted rough and dry. Read more
The best Thai food I have had at a restaurant - ever. We went back two days in a row it was so good. The Spring Rolls - OMG so... good and hot. And as vegans, we were so happy to have options: we got the drunken noodles with vegan shrimp and the Pad Thainoodles - no msg. Their food is fresh and healthy and delicious. They were super nice too. We will always eat here when we go toDallas. Read more
