So I frequented this wine bar often this past summer. I enjoyed trying a new wine each time. Well, recently I went in and as... usual wanted to taste the wine before buying a bottle/glass. Well the server said to "taste" I would have to purchase a 1.5ounce sample for $1.50. He was very rude. And even commented, that "we are not giving free wine" as if I was going to tasteseveral types of wine and leave. He also said, "just like a restaurant, we don't give samples or allow you to try" although, weall know that is not true. What restaurant doesn't allow someone to try wines? I was mostly upset because he spoke as if, I madethe entire idea of tasting wines up in my mind. Also, $1.50 sample is a great deal for building a wine flight. Very modern space with limited seating. There are lots of racks with wine and a small room in the back for groups.... Unfortunately I didn't get a chance to have my bridal shower here because my sister failed to sign a contract. We went to Cork as part of my bachelorette party festivities and we were NOT disappointed! Not only did they seat us in our own... private room with comfortable seating, but they made sure to give us top-notch service. We felt so welcomed! Their wineselection is incredible and I love that their bottles rotate so frequently that they don't print their menus - a good sign, ifyou ask me! Plus their prices were surprisingly reasonable for both by-the-glass and by-the-bottle. The atmosphere is cozy &warm and it's a great place to go if you want to relax and have a great glass (or two) of wine. We will definitely be back! :) Read more
