Just discovered this place today with my boyfriend. We got tons of delicious free samples (TRY THE TURKEY!) and every single... thing we had from the menu (vanilla & black cherry craft soda, turkey sandwich, gut buster sandwich, apple cobbler, and MAC) wastop tier. I?ve come by multiple times, good stuff, food comes out fresh but not to temperature hot. This little shack off Preston has so... many bbq options. Chicken salad sandwich is amazing. I love their chopped brisket sandwiches. I had had ribs a while back. They were good. I ordered a rack of ribs and a chicken for... July 4 weekend. The ribs were very spicy and filled with salt. The overuse of salt was ridiculous. I had to throw the ribs away.The chicken was wonderful. Not too spicy and not too salty. A little expensive for half a chicken! Read more
I came mid afternoon to check this place out. While I was waiting for my order the cashier offered some samples of the pork... belly burnt ends and brisket tamale, both of which were delicious. Really solid barbecue, one of the better options close to Richardson/North Dallas. It's a big menu which isn't always a positive... at a BBQ joint, but they seem to handle it well and produce good quality meat. The specials (including sides) provide niceoptions too. It was my first time and I ordered at the window for takeout. I got the baked potato with brisket, shredded pork and sausage. ... It was all too salty and I regretted getting that much toppings. I expected the sausage to be salty but not the other shreddedmeats. The guy who was taking my order was very pleasant and was able to answer all my questions about the menu.
