Like someone stated in a previous review, there?s nothing big about the portion sizes here. I expected east coast style halal... but was left disappointed. It?s mid Mediterranean food. I would just keep it moving and order from Halal guys next time. Read more
Definitely a must try. The food is outstanding with great portion sizes. I?ve come here over a dozen times and the food is... always fresh. I get the NY Chicken bowl with everything and my spouse gets the beef and lamb with the fries. One of my top 5places to eat in the DFW! Read more

My first experience with Big Guys... and they knocked it out of the park! I ordered the chicken on rice. I love the spice... level... medium hot. (I love it hot!) The seasoning was unknown to me, and I love it! Very tasty and tender small chunks ofchicken on a bed of super-long-grain rice. Mildly seasoned, the rice made a tasty accompaniment to the spicy chicken. Thelettuce and tomato were fresh. I poured myself a glass from my trusty screwtop bottle of Pinot grigio... perfectly matched. Theportion was very generous. A thrifty person could easily have made two meals out of it. (Oh, wait... I was supposed to eat itall, wasn't I?) The cheesecake: Apparently factory-made (probably in Dallas), it filled the bill as a tasty slice of plainAmerican cheesecake. I made a cup of instant black coffee to go with it. I may not have a lot, but I enjoy what I have. NOTEABOUT GRUBHUB: They may have delivered my meal within the ETA. I don't know. They didn't call, as I instructed, didn't text...didn't even knock. It sat outside in 55° weather for ~10-15 minutes, probably. I'm treating this one as an anomaly. EDIT3/16/22: Ordered the same thing through GrubHub. I'm still astounded by the yummy flavor of this otherwise simple chicken andrice dish.
