Great Mexican food restaurant with excellent service located very near the auditorium and performance hall at SMU. We ate there... and then went over to the show. We were a group of eight and eight outside on the patio and had a great time. Service and foodwere awesome. Read more
Amazing TexMex food and our waiter Clayton had the BEST service ever!! This is a place that you want to spend all day long.
I don?t like giving one stars but this was probably the worst experience I?ve had at any restaurant before. Upon meeting some... friends for dinner I was never greeted once seated and never got a glass of water. I tried waving down our waiter several timesand was ignored. I was able to get the attention finally of another server and got a drink. Later on one of our friends got amargarita and decided to get 2 they brought out 2 8oz glasses and later we found out he was charged $25 for them instead ofbringing out the 18oz glass that was only $15. We were confused on why they did that and they told us we have to specificallyask for that larger glass. Even though every time we?ve been there we automatically got the larger glass. The server becameirritated and told us we can speak to the manager and so we did the manager, most likely still in college came over and was veryimmature. He asked us why we were arguing and instead of finding a solution told us there?s nothing they can do, and walkedaway. It seemed weird but we weren?t to aggravated by the situation and went back to having a good time. The waiter came by anddrop off our check, left then while walking past with a drink for another table i turned and was about to give him my card butout of know where the server behind him told him and I quote ?don?t listen to those F*g*ts? I was confused as to if I heard thatcorrectly because it was out of nowhere. My friend and I stood up and confronted the server who said that towards us. He said itwasn?t directed at us but clearly it was. The whole situation began to escalate. It was eventually calmed down by the only clearheaded worker there and we stepped outside to talk with him he apologized for his coworkers and gave us each $25 gift card. Butthe experience was awful. Also they told us that worker will have a ?long talking to? but in my opinion calling your quests thatderogatory word should have more consequences then a long talk. Read more
Oh my gosh, this place is delicious! It had been several years since I last went so I was so happy to see that it hadn't... changed! Food was super yummy! And I love the setting with its exposed brick wall. If you are near University/Highland Parkdon't miss out! I will definitely be returning, and soon!! Read more
Came here upon the recommendation of a family friend, whose daughter worked there during college. Upon seeing the outside I was... very eager to try it out. looked like a no frills Tex-Mex joint with the name right out of a Lonesome Dove novel - just my kindof joint. Pros: fast service, despite being a busy Saturday night. Friendly staff. Price (97$ for 4 adults, 2 kids, noalcohol). Good portions. Cons: I?m going to be as courteous and as objective as possible. I ordered their version of theChile relleno, and although it tasted alright, frankly the spicy ground beef filling, and ranchera sauce, was reminiscent ofeggplant Parmesan. More nostalgic of an Italian dish than Tex Mex. I?d definitely come back for chips queso, drinks, and agood vibe. They were also very accommodating with our family. And the server was on point. For those reasons alone I?drecommend, but for something more authentic?. I?d stick to their enchiladas, pollo poblado, something like that. Read more

This has been one amazing experience!! There was a slight hiccup with waiting to be seated, but management instantly stepped in... and went above and beyond with bacon wrapped shrimp!!
