Really great family-owned restaurant and grocery. I had the beef tibs (small chunks) which came in awaze sauce, a red chili... sauce that is fairly spicy, and a side of potatoes and carrots. The combination of injeera bread and the beef tibs was reallyflavorful and filling. My wife and I shared our order, and it was enough that we were both stuffed. It would be enough for 2people who eat a lot or 3 people to be satisfied. The potatoes and carrots were less flavorful but still good. I would like totry the lentil sides next time I'm here. I ordered an ethiopian coffee. If you're not familiar with it, is much stronger thanamerican pot coffee. It came in a small pot with espresso type glasses and served hot. I had 1 cup no sugar to get a taste ofstraight coffee. Smooth and easy to drink, even though I'm not a heavg coffee drinking person. The next 2 cups had sugar in themto wrap up my meal. The owner's son, I believe, had been serving us, and recommended I try a pasty, pronounced paw-stee, with mycoffee. Pasty are a fried dough biscuit, with a crisp outside and kind of doughy flavor on the soft inside. I like the doughyflavor, but if you're thinking of donuts or buttermilk biscuits, you may not. I wish this place wasn't a 5 hour drive for us,so I could eat here more often! Read more

Sumptuous. We had the vegetarian combo and lamb wot. Everything was so deliciously, exceptionally seasoned and spiced. Easting... there at the grocery/restaurant was incredible -- but the leftovers were even better. It was a chilly night in Dallas so we hadhot tea that was so good, we bought tea and spices to bring back home with us. We don't have Ethiopian restaurants near us so itwas such a treat. We enjoyed talking with the owners. We know where we'll go whenever we're in Dallas. Read more
