This restaurant has been open a couple of weeks, so I was excited to try it out! The ambience is what hits you at first. It's... got kind of a hip vibe, with the backlit geometric shelf behind the bar obviously being the centerpiece. The plexiglass wallallowing you to see into the kitchen is an interesting touch. The big flower wall and gray suede couch is an obvious spot forInstagram brunch photo ops. I think the patio side is a little sparse, but you might not even notice! This would be a nice datespot. You can tell a lot about how a restaurant will do based on how they act for the first few weeks. It was well-staffed butfairly empty for a Tuesday lunch, and my waiter was tailed by another member of staff for training. They were attentive andresponsive, and my glass was never empty. The owner and some senior staff/management were prowling around, eyes open for anyproblems without being obtrusive. I ordered one of the best cappuccinos I've ever had. Cannot recommend enough. The Koreanbreakfast bowl was interesting. The portion size was satisfying, the price was correct for the neighborhood, the presentationwas gorgeous, but the meal was just a little too oily to be good. It had something, maybe pearl couscous, as the base, whichwasn't on the menu. The waitress thought it was quinoa (it was not quinoa.) A layer of oil was visible on everything, butthankfully the bread was there to sop it up. It had a strong flavor of pickled veggies and the pork was fantastic, but I thinkit could have done with a little more salt and some more depth of flavor. It may have to do with a brand new kitchen staff. Ifyou like breakfast or your date likes breakfast, you might want to come check it out! Read more
