Outstanding. In town for long weekend and wanted a more "local feel". Melt in your mouth Brisket and fall of the bone ribs. If... you love blues and r&b music you'll be happy with atmosphere as well as the food. And Morgan, our server, as sweet as can be!And the prices are more than fair Read more

Went here just before the kitchen closed for dinner. Staff were friendly and still happy to accommodate us. The food was... delicious. I particularly liked the fried Okra, Brisket and Ribs. Portions were great. Would happily return again. Read more

I usually see BBQ joints struggle to keep their pulled pork soft and juicy. This place has it down, it’s the only thing on... their menu I can recommend. We came at a busy time, which is when food is supposed to be fresh. The fries were cold and thebrisket was dryer than the Sahara desert. I thought the previous reviews might’ve had bad lighting but the brisket truly isextremely dry. The sausage was just okay. Read more

I honestly wasn't expecting much from 18th & Vine but I was more than pleasantly surprised. We ate at the bar and had a great... conversation with the bartender, who made me a couple of great vodka tonics, about the history of the restaurant. We startedwith the fried okra and it was so much more than I expected. I don't know what they used, but they were lightly battered andfried whole to a perfect Chrisp. I can honestly say that they have the best fried okra I've ever had and the portion is huge. Ihad the 2 meat plate and choose the ribs and the chicken along with collard greens. The chicken was nice and smokey and the ribswere good. The bartender, wish I remembered his name, told me ahead of time that the green were somewhat sweet and vinegary (notsure that's a word). I said what the hell and went with them anyway and glad that I did because they were good. My brother hadthe brisket, sausage, and brussel sprouts which he also said were good. In summation, this place is a gem and I'll definitelyreturn again soon. Read more

Really disappointed in this restaurant. We reserved private dining for a business group of about 25 at 6:00 p.m., And had not... even received anything but finger foods by 7:15. The whole experience was about two and a half hours, for smoked meats that, aswe all know, are prepared hours in advance. Additionally, I would say that the food is pretty mediocre and not veryrepresentative of true KC style barbecue. Read more

Food was ok. Had ribs, veggies and mashed potatoes. Biggest disappointment was the time. Very long waits between orders. Was... seated right away. But the meal time was easily 2-2.5 hrs. Have an interesting robot (AGV) that moves food and dishes to/fromthe kitchen. Read more
