We thought we had finally found a place in the back mountain that had consistently good food. Well that changed tonight. I have... ordered the same burger many times. Tonight was disgusting. I usually will just toss it in the bin and not return when thishappens at a returant. This time deserved a call and chance to redeem since the food was amazing previously. The original orderwas 2 pub burgers mid well and sweet potatoes fries. Both burgers were pretty rare ucooked burger and super soggy potatofries. The replacement was supposed to be better. It was 2 over cooked well done burgers. Very little sauce and they changedthe lettuce on the replacement burgers to spring mix. I never received potato fries or chips the second time. That I paid extrafor. I just received plain fries that were more soggy that the original order. Neither one of us finished the burger. The frieswent in the bin. If you have changed cooks please call the old one back because this burger was previously one of my favorites.Overall 2 burgers and fries for $40 plus tip that were very disappointing. Read more
Great atmosphere and food, but service can be hit or miss. I enjoy when they host live music, but if you?re dining with others,... it can be too loud to allow for conversation. Otherwise, it?s a consistently solid place for dinner or a Sunday brunch withfriends. Read more

This was our second time there. The first time was terrific. Unfortunately, this time did NOT live up! Although the food was... tasty, it took a very long time (and it wasn?t that busy). My wife?s meal was actually cold. Service was lacking, too. We had tosend someone to get our waitress for our check. We won?t be back, as the North Slope seems to have gone south! Read more
We arrived at North Slope shortly before 7 p.m. on a Friday night. Although there was seating available, it was near where the... evening's live band was to play. So we opted to sit outside, which was far enough away from a somewhat busy road, so there wasminimal distraction. The live music was appropriate, a mixture of soul and blues, and not too loud as to prohibitconversation. I ordered the brisket egg rolls, which was a very good appetizer, filled with enough meat and melted cheese. Theloaded mac and cheese with pulled pork was a bit disappointing. Although the pork was very tasty, the Mac and cheese wasextremely bland, so although I had the texture, all I could taste was the pork. The NS Signature Burger was cooked as ordered,but the bourbon sauce was also a bit bland, and the potato chips were overdone. I would be remiss if I didn't mention ourlovely server Makenzie, who was quite pleasant, had an infectious smile, and always made sure we had everything we askedfor. i didn't even wait until we left to leave this review. lately it seems that restaurants have gone downhill and we have had... several disappointing dinners. this place could not be more different from that! the drinks were DELICIOUS (please try the freshhousemade skinny margarita. freshly....like right then and there freshly....squeezed lemon, lime and orange juices were used init!) the food was across the board EXTRAORDINARY (the bacon wrapped mozzarella is worth the drive alone!) and the crabcakes werehousemade and loaded with crab and spectacular. the staff were excellent, attentive and service was prompt (andcorrect!!!) really cannot say enough good things. *If* you can get food, service, or someone to answer the phone, the food is good. I tried to call-in an order to pick-up the... other day, multiple times, and no one would pick up the line. There is not an option to order online. So, I decided to go in andplace my order to-go. Absolutely no one was in the front, so I went to the bar to order my food. There were two femalebartenders, both of which knew I was there, but wouldn't come over for my order despite me kindly trying to catch theirattention. Doesn't seem like they want any other business, so I won't bother with them. Read more
