I was so surprised when my Husband found gluten free desserts locally! Very Disappointed and No Attempt at service recovery. I ordered and prepaid 55.00 for a Pumpkin Cheesecake to celebrate a Family... Birthday. The entire middle has a huge crack. I told the employee that this was for a special occasion and her reply was oh,sometimes they are cracked. I referred to the display case of perfect cheesecakes and said I don?t see that here. Before even entering you pass their comfy outdoor seating decorated with soft string lighting. I was impressed the moment I... walked inside because it gave me such a friendly welcoming hometown feeling. I was immediately greeted with a smile by a teammember. The display case of bake goods was mouth-watering! Delicious looking one of kind creative cakes, out of the ordinaryflavored cheesecakes , banana pudding, scones and old school (like your grandma baked) mini cake loaves/cookies in a variety offlavors. Also, many gluten free delectable looking desserts were available. Piece of Heaven surprisingly is not just a bakery!In the sandwich realm, I can personally attest that their stellar Chicken Salad on a Croissant was yummy. They also had a vastselection of old fashion scooped ice cream to choose from. They even had these special hand dipped flavored waffle cones! Also,their beverage offerings were on point! Choices of a variety of coffee/tea types, blended fruit juices and more are availablechoices to satisfy any palette. They even had an actual "Reading Room" where books for all ages can be enjoyed. They cake tasted pretty Good. But I don't like the way they have the menu set up through. You can't see the variety they have.... The words were so small and ran together on the menu. I think they need to set the cakes up better so we can see them also. Ilike to see my cake before I purchase it. When I was asking Questions the cashier seem to be getting mad. But if the cakes weredisplayed better and menu bigger it would be a much better experience. This is my 2nd time here. But the Cake it self was sogood. Read more
