Truly a gem just outside of downtown Dahlonega. We reserved a birthday fondue for 2. When we arrived we were cheerfully greeted... by the owner and staff. They had our table pre-set in an adorable, private nook in the back of the restaurant. This fondueexperience was one of the best things I?ve ever had in my life. They import the cheese from Europe (the owner lived in Germanyfor 20 years) so he knows what is legit. We also ordered potato pancakes, red cabbage, a sausage, a pretzel, and the spätzle. All delicious! Would definitely recommend and plan on going back. Everyone working at the restaurant was super friendly andattentive as well!!! Thank you for a great birthday lunch! Read more

It's ok if you find yourself in Dahlonega craving German food, but definitely worth driving to Helen for better. Reens' is a... tiny hole-in-the-wall restaurant with limited inside seating and even fewer parking spaces. The portions are a bit on thesmaller side, but adequate. The taste though is only fair. I've had better schnitzel and currywurst at my job's cafeteria. Theservice/wait time is a little bit too long. It took 45 minutes to get our food. Overall, not bad, but likely wouldn't return. Don't blink or you'll drive right past it. Buried in a strip mall with a vape shop behind some trees it's easy to miss. The... beer was what I remember from my time in Germany. The food was good (well prepared by the cook), the seating limited, the ownerwas most personable. Read more

One of the real authentic German restaurants. Good was excellent and up to my German standard! The owners are very nice and even... put on some German music to add to the experience for us. Read more

If you're passing through or moving into the area...DO NOT MISS THIS PLACE. The owners and the regulars were so friendly and the... food was incredible. John's knowledge and passion regarding the beer and the cuisine shines like the sun at noon in the middleof the summer. Its well worth the trip too if you find yourself a little ways down the road like I am. Read more
