Time to update the 3 yr old review. Something has changed. The food is still good. But the service at the drive thru is poor.... The line is so long and it doesn't move very fast. You'd think they were negotiating World Peace. Its just too frustrating to gothere anymore. Its a shame. It was a great discovery 3 yrs ago. I have went several times. Half the time I get tied of waiting and just leave. Worst service ever. I cook for a living if I... worked like that I would be fired. At least tell me you will be with me in a min. I thought it would get better but no. Wentagain July 18 still can't get service at window. Just close down window if you aren't smart enough to run it. Please please tone down on the salt! The food is great but the salt is excessive. The fries are already seasoned and don?t need... the additional salt. Besides that, everything at the Dade city checkers is great! Read more
Been living in Dade City for 20+ years. Back then I couldn't get enough of the burgers. Always delicious. Back maybe 6 years... ago I started noticing the food has been a bit more saltier than usual. I normally can muddle through but today's food wasexcessively salty. What happened to the food? My drink was warm as well and I waited 15 just to get up to the speaker to orderand when I finally did I waited even more for the van who had been waiting for their food to get their food. I would've backedup to leave but there were cars in back of me. Other than all of that.... the staff has always been pretty friendly. CHECKERS..... PLEASE TONE IT DOWN ON THE SALT!!! Read more
Never was a fan of Checkers. The burgers if served hot are good but those frys are horrible. I just don't get it by not giving... the option of regular frys instead of those chemical dusted "seasoned" frys eliminates a percentage of customers who enjoy frysunmolested, which is why I seldom go to a Checkers. As fate would have it the restaurant we wanted to eat at was closed, whichsolicited a "let's get something at Checkers" comment so there we were second in line on a Sunday at around 1045am. Three mealsoff their menu were ordered nothing altered like hold the pickle on.one of them We pay at the window with two 20's and receiveda few coins back so few you could argue that 40 dollars was spent for three meals. We were asked to park and park we did. 26minutes later and still waiting, my fiance gets out of the vehicle and walks up to the window to.inquire on our order. She washanded our order at that time, by the temperature of the food it was easy to conclude it had been sitting on the counter forsometime, 26 minutes in 90 degree heat to find out no.one bothered to bring it out to us. That's 40 dollars I can never get backon a meal practically unfit for human.consumption. The place was not slammed at any given time during our wait time no more thanthree vehicles were in line. I understand sh@t happens but does it always have to happen to me? That 40 may be well spent inhindsight, next time someone suggests Checkers I can mention the frys and now my experience there to shut down that suggestion.I feel my luck is shifting slowly to the good, I will test it another day. They have some of the best fries out of all the fast food, but tonight 5/7/2022 we sat for over 45 minutes without any services,... just sat in front of the drive thru menu waiting to order., sat from 8-850, not sure why the service was so bad, ended up justleaving. message to the owner: I went on your site and left information about the visit. :) Read more
I love the cheese sticks. But the prices are a little high I think. For 2 people to just get a regular sandwich and fry meal... with a drink each and for one 4 piece cheese stick. It was over $30. That's a little high priced. Read more
If I'm paying almost $10 for a simple spicy chicken meal, why should I have to pay extra for bbq sauce? How much do you charge... for ketchup? Mustard? Oh, they're free? So I have to pay more because I don't like those choices. Come on with the greed. Read more
